Just got a pot of coffee on to rock it to this one all day =D

Just finished Prison House by John King. Interesting book, didn't make a huge amount of sense til the end though and the 'twist' was a bit sudden. Still not sure quite what happened at the end cos I was in a bit of a daze. Might have to re-read the last bit later.

Unless anyone has read it and wants to clarify? :D

I appear to have started reading DMT The Spirit Molecule by Rick Strassman. Expecting it to be full of hippy shit and potentate trouble 8);)=D

It's a really interesting book that. He is indeed a bit nuts; somewhere out on a cosmic island in between the realm of the conventional scientist and the trippin' 2012er.... :p :D He seems to fall out with a lot of people too...

It's a pretty interesting read though, although some of the trips sound rather horrific. I remember there is one rather memorable one which involved horny alligators.... :o :\ One phrase which sticks in the mind is "no one's an atheist after 0.4" or something like that. IV DMT zomgomgomg!

I'm reading sociology text books and journals and the new Private eye.

Reading Irvine Welsh's "Glue". Great book, tbh, a lot better than some of his other recent efforts.

Glue is definitely one of my favourite books of all time <3 My copy is proper battered haha

Not read it. However I thought Football Factory and England Away were both excellent, so i may give it a go.

Have you read those Snolly?

Yeppy, I loved Football Factory and quite liked England Away from what I remember. Human Punk is another very good book by him :D Quite similar in format to Glue, actually. Probably why I like it so much.

Prison House was good, not my favourite of his books, but the overall theme definitely resonated with me albeit in a slightly different way to how it was presented. Almost drew a few tears at one point, which I didn't expect though that's maybe down to the similarities between my experiences and those in the book. Expect if you've not had the same experiences and you're not a big softy it might not draw the same response :D

Edit: I've never been to prison or killed or bummed anyone, just to clarify. Far more normal experiences than that.

I'm not a big softy.

I'm a big, bad gangsta, ok? ;)

I've got the new Lee Child book to read once i've finished "Superstar DJ's". I think Jack Reacher is the best character ever created.

The biggest and tha baddest, of course :D

Dunno what to read now. Am half way through The Trial and part way through Monkey. Think I'll go for Monkey, am in a rather Asian frame of mind at the moment and it's easier reading than The Trial, for sure. Plus I've just read one book about a man with mysterious crimes, another so soon might be a bit tedious.

^ Read some Lee Child. Not overly intellectually challenging, but a good yarn! :)

I think I shall :D Still got Flesh House to read too which I'll pretend is lol but secretly love anyway.

Aye defo one of his best, the only recent one I've read was Bedroom Secrets of the Masterchefs which I enjoyed.

I don't read nearly often enough these days. :\

I liked Bedroom Secrets but thought the ending was a bit blah. Latest one I've read of his is 'If You Liked School, You'll Love Work' and I'm on maybe the third story in it. First one is proper fucked up!

I don't even remember the ending to Bedroom Secrets really? Remind me Snolls....

Just got through with Stalingrad. Sheer and utter madness, the whole thing. Stalin using his troops like they were fucking Lemmings!
While their's a lot of russian/german regiment names and numbers it doesn't bog you down with statistics like i thought it would and turns out to be a really compelling read. Gives you an insight into the minds of the 2 of the worst cunts of our time.

Contrary to popular belief, lemmings are not suicidal by nature. The myth was popularised by Disney herding hundreds of the wee cunts off a cliff with range rovers for a film.
