I always start to read books but if they dont grab me in the first few chapters then ill drop them.
The last really good book i read that gripped me from start to finish was called "Labrynth " by a local author called Kate Mosse

^^ Hawkwind are playing Bearded Theory in 2 weekends, F&B; you might still get a ticket if you get on it now =D

I'm off gliding on the 16th or I'd be there.

Shambles: That is some fucking mental shit right there!! :D

On Liberty, by John Stuart Mill. Every time I go to the library I get a couple of easy s/f books and something that I feel I ought to read, which I get through about two chapters before it's due back. This month, this is that book.

Just read "The Man Who Made It Snow", by Max Mermelstein. Very interesting book about the columbian coke cartels and smuggling large amounts of coke into Florida.

I'm now reading "The Dying Ground" by Nichelle Trimble. If you like gangsta type books, The Wire and anything by George P Pelecanos then you'll like this.

The Neanderthal Legacy by Stan Gooch, very interesting stuff though not so keen on his writing style.

Thanks - I saw them a few months ago with my other half (& B9 & MassiveinMiniature) in Newcastle - combine that with my current finincial embarrassment (Fuckin' Durham County Council set the baliffs on me while I was asking for time to find all the receipts for last years council tax as they reckoned I was a payment short & I'm sure I'm not. Ended up having to give £170 to a baliff for a 'missed' council tax payment of £100 that I'm certain I didn't miss. Add that to a £1k+ electric bill - only paid estimated bills for last 18 months! - so unless they're playing Durham county cricket ground, which I know all the ins & outs, dodges & dives etc of ;) ) and I'll just have to go off others descriptions of such things for the next few months

Unless Dave Brock reads Bluelight and considers me a worthy charity case! =D (was that a bit lacking in subtlety? =D =D)

^ I love the cricket with mates. Sunshine, lager, singing, cocaine...a great mix for a day of fun! :)
