I got a little itchiness from opiates early on, but it was a really good feeling itch though! Later, that stopped. Then, I started getting the mild constipation from opiates when I started using it more frequently, and I'd get diarrhea when I went without it.
But when I got on Methadone, the constipation got MUCH worse! I still am on methadone, and I still have constipation. I only have to go take a dump every 3 days or so, and when I do, its like a project! Without too much gory detail, what comes out is huge, very dry, and extremely hard. When I owned my own home from '03-'09, the last year I lived there('09), before I lost my home and had to move out, I took a dump in the downstairs bathroom, and as is/was common, I clogged up the toilet. But this time, no matter what I did, I couldn't get it unclogged! I mean, I plunged that thing for a long time, over and over, but nothing..... Then I went to the store to buy Drano or similar, but they said not to use in toilets.... So I was screwed! It was clogged somewhere inside the toilet.
I would've had to have the toilet completely removed and taken apart which would've cost lots of money. But I was about to lose the house anyway, so I didnt have it done. Then, about a day before I moved out, I took a dump in the upstairs bathroom, and clogged it up too! I couldnt get it unclogged either.
In a way, I felt bad, but at the same time, I felt good, cause the bank didnt work with me at all to help me save my home from foreclosure, so fuck them!
Then, when I moved to where I live now, I was so worried about clogging up the toilet here, that I would go drive up to MacDonald's every time I had to take a dump every 3 days or so! It totally sucked to have to drive 3 miles down the road to take a dump, but I thought I had to or I would end up clogging my landlord's toilet, and I'd have to pay a lot to unclog it. Finally, I got a new, but kinda disgusting idea....... I would take a dump at home, then keep a long rubber glove nearby, which I could put on and break up the crap into smaller pieces that would go down the drain. So thats what I have to do!
Also, when I first started methadone and for the next several years, I always got a good buzz from the methadone about 1/2 hour after swallowing it. It would feel really good for a while too. This feeling was especially great once I first started on methadone, and was worried about whether it would work in place of H. So that 2nd morning when I was already dope sick, and walking back to the city in the cold winter, then I went to church for free breakfast and service, and then the methadone hit me while in the church service, and I realized I was going to be OK without H for the first time. It felt soooo good!
