Time to start a new thread for summer activities 2014. Here is what I have so far:

More hiking at Grouse Grind, bunjee jumping, sky diving and kick boxing.

How bout you guys whatcha have this summer?

I will definitely go fishing this summer, and will probably get a bike so I can do some cardio around town. I will also weightlift as usual.

Oooh skydiving, nice :) Has been on my list for a long time, may have to start looking into that again.

I'll be doing some travelling near the end of summer. I'm considering buying a slackline for some fun here in the Dam. Furthermore a lot of swimming, running, longboarding.

edit: flyhigh buy that bike! Being from a country where everybody rides bikes all day I can tell you it is a great way to get some 'free' cardio!

awww yeahhhh!!! grouse grind!!!

i highly recommend superfly ziplines if you haven't been (in whistler). a bit more $ than bungee jumping but you get 6 ziplines / a short hike out of it, takes maybe 1.5 hours? includes a shuttle too from the village

^Miscbrah I just noticed you are from Vancity too lol! Maybe I will see you in Grouse sometime haha!!

Yeah I am going to whistler at the end of the month and thinking of doing the ziplines as well. Gotta have to book it soon though so I can get a deal. I was looking at the Whistler vacation deals online last night and I think if I book the zipline earlier or on the 30th of this month I get 20% off.

I think I'll get that and the bunjee jumping since I am going to Whistler anyway and it is available. Gotta do it while I am off for a few days

^ yes you should def get out more

lol jk

but srsly there's so much to do outdoors here!
never been to whistler bungee though. make sure you do like a backflip instead of being lame and jumping feet first / get your friends to record it

LOL yeah I gotta admit I have been anti-social lately by choice though to save money since I am such a spender.

Oh I can't wait til the end of this month!!! I will probly going to spend a lot again but hey I won't be able to get a vacay until December so what the hell right!!

Aight I am off to hot yoga friends, anyone else doing anything today? Even walking at least lol

hiking, the beach, zip lining and going to vermont :D

go to a zoo, a local pool, a park, stop by a craftstore and work on some arts&crafts (like a scrapbook), a bowling alley, miniature golf course, a movie theater, take a walk or work on a garden.

I just recently returned from a trip to Hilton Head, South Carolina with the family. It was nice we did a lot of biking and swimming while we were down there and soaked up the sun.

I would like to go to Hocking Hills again here soon with the dog and get some hiking in as well as fishing at Lake Logan.

I have always wanted to sky dive but most likely will not have the courage to actually make it happen for at least another year or two!

^im actually stoked!! Im planning to do it around aug so at least I wont be too broke since I want to bunjee jump this weekend. Oh I also thought of rock climbing if that's also availabe in Whistler

yup, both indoor and outdoor are available in Whistler

indoor: http://www.whistlercore.com/ (you can do a drop in for like $20 which includes rentals)

outdoor: http://www.whistler.com/activities/climbing/ - way more $$

i can't do rock climbing though, the shoes are too tight for me (supposed to be that way) and my feet ALWAYS end up cramping. i've had to give up on it... when i snowboard, i have to keep my boots and binding fairly loose :(

^im actually here in whistler right now and ill go to that place late in the afternoon thanks for the link!

Zipline costs 129 bucks for three hours but I think it's too expensive.. maybe ill just stick to bunjee jumping for now then rock climbing.

I'm apart of a fighting game community that is probably the second-most popular fighting game in the world.

Have summer school til the 31st.

Yoga/lifting/running (would also include biking but it got jacked, will replace by end of summer) take up ~2-3 hours a day

Been very social recently, cooking and going on hikes and etc. with close friends.

Definitely putting a bigger emphasis on cooking.

My biggest single hobby is probably reading, though. I read 2-5 books a month. Currently reading Chris Hedges' I Don't Believe in Atheists.

Thanks for asking ;)

My summers consist of mostly sports and alcohol, but also other drugs.
I like to swim, run, (race)bike and party, so yeah.
This summer is a little special, because I'm also moving out.

When you say fighting game community is it MMA? Tell me more!! :D

riding bmx (street, but do wanna check a park that's like ~5mi from my house), snorkelling(sp?) and jogging. basically, same as last summer, but swapping the distance-rides on fixie to bmx street (god how i've missed this, just got a killer premium ride to have fun on!) and distance-swimming for snorkelling.
Fun&safe summer to ya'll :D

Nah, it's a fighting game. Like, video games, lol. Super Smash Bros Melee. Just had a big tourney in LA over the weekend.

Virtual martial arts. Yoga is my spiritual martial art. And once I get tired of Melee, I will resume the actual physical martial art I was practicing a few years ago.
