What are your reasons for using drugs?

I'm in my mid 20's and have dabbled with a few things and I've recently been thinking about the reasons I choose to use drugs which has made me wonder what other people's perspectives on this are? I imagine most people got into it through their friends and it started as a social thing? Is it still that way? Or do you just love being high?

This is my first post but I felt this the most suitable place for it but hello nonetheless.
 
They make me feel gooder than no drugs, happier, more out going, easier to stay awake and easier to fall asleep.

You want a feeling, a really specific one? There's a drug for that.

With highs come lows, this we all know. Part of enjoying drugs is responsible use of course.

For recreational reasons, and to explore my mind. I have a very moderate and managed drug use.
 
I get bored really fast from.drugs........only thing I do now are my prescribed pain meds for my back pain.

If I didn't have back pain, I actually enjoy living life in sobriety......i used to get high off of life itself, of course when life is going well, no drugs needed, at least for me but since I have pain, gotta do something about it.
 
I use Xanax and other benzos for anxiety

Weed relaxes me and helps my stomach not hurt and well, I love it.

Adderall for work

Meth... Well there is no reason I love that shit
 
I'm a piece of shit, obviously.
I use Dexedrine for school, and utterly abuse Benzos for panic attacks / chronic anxiety. Amounts no man or woman should take. Trying to get off subs at the moment, scared I'll fall back in it but I'll do my best.
 
Well psychedelics are for mental exploration, knowledge on how to live better, and because the perspective I come to while tripping really helps me sort out what needs sorting out. The psychedelic headspace is my favorite, and generally they feel best of all the drugs too.

All other drugs I basically use because my brain chemistry is fucked up & drugs help me feel ok. As well, I simply like feeling different states of consciousness, and I'm the type who gets bored with normalcy.
 
u really wnna know y i get high? WHY? Because i like it. does it really take an einstein to work that out.
 
Boredom really though I must admit that my alcohol use is more of an addiction thing.

Besides Adderall (because that stuff does not work for me) and weed just relaxes me (my stomach doesn't consistently hurt, but it does reduce slight pain), exactly like what I was gonna say.
Amphetamines are nice for partying so you can stay up longer and dance.
Benzos are just nice for anxiety.
Opiates are nice for hangovers.
GHB is nicer than alcohol if you just want to chill with a few friends aha.
 
Because they're fun! ;) Also, because I believe that psychedelics, MDMA, and cannabis have all had very positive impacts on my life, opening my mind and heart and causing me to view the world through a different lens. I guess you could say they helped me to think outside of the box and breakdown what "the system" had ingrained in me (typical hum-drum "this is what life should be like and that's all there is"). Psychedelics have also helped me come to terms with the nature of reality and have settled my existential dilemma extremely well.
 
They improve my quality of life. Psychedelics make me more content and apprciative of everything, they make me a better, more conscious being. Stimulants I take if I wanna get work done fast and efficienty (although the fast bit tends to cost me effciency), benzos for a better sleep, difficult trips or sleepless nights. GHB for its very wide array of effects and MDMA just for fun and to be a more euphoric version of myself. I love drugs!

Haha I was usually the one influencing others to try drugs. I got into them on my own thru the medicine cabinet in my own house. That was early in middle school. I guess because everyone had their own thing, be it sports, skateboarding, video games, but I was never in to any of that. I popped a couple T3s and vicodins and I had found what I was looking for.
