Esoteric What Are Your Favorite Psychedelic Adjuncts?

Acid induces what I often refer to as "psychedelic munchies" for me, I noticed it the first time when I was off roughly a tenstrip with the gang, and like I did every day, smoked 2-3.5 grams of dabs out of a lossless enail. Usually I wasn't eating much in the first place, as the overuse of cannabis and constant usage of serotonergics (plus ephedrine) had fried the fuck out of my natural sense of appetite. I almost involuntarily found myself looking in the fridge, and I spotted an M&M brownie that my fiance had made and overcooked slightly. He's a real perfectionist in the kitchen and didn't end up eating any of it, and it was one of those 8 or 9 inch square pyrex dishes. I took it out, tapped it upside down so the whole thing fell out, and I just ate the entire thing like it was some sort of oversized brownie cookie full of M&Ms. The manner in which I ate that thing was fucking reprehensible, I can't lie dude. Primal hunger overcame me and the entire thing was housed, standing right there over the kitchen counter like some sort of starving gremlin who finally got his grubby little acid hands on some chow. Since then, I've noticed it occurring with a ton of things, allylescaline, 2C-B, DOM, LSD, etc. all exhibit it but they all do to different extents, and some things are more oriented towards either sweet, savory, or bland foods for some reason.

I've also played with cacao ceremonies, yerba mate, guarana, coffee, and pure caffeine (and other pure xanthines) in combination with various psychedelics to see how they affect things. Eating a large amount of straight cacao leads me to a similar state as when I coadminister a sizeable dose if theobromine, a smooth and euphoric stimulation that somehow seems to enhance the visual and tactile effects of psychedelics (though especially indolic ones like LSD and psilocybin), but the cognitive side of things is rather unaffected other than a slight increase to cognitive clarity, like I'd normally get from caffeine/methylliberine.
I'm glad to read this and not to be alone feeling like this with psychedelics!

I don't have as much point of reference as you, but I can confirm that there is a certain appeal for some kind of foods. For reference with 25I-nbome that I tried one only, I can't eat anything until the come down. I remember I was spitting like every single minute, my friend didn't but at some point he trow up.

With LSD, and 1cP-LSD, I clearly can eat almost everything but still have an appeal for some kind of food. I remember during a festival I wanted some nem but finish with a wrap with beef cooked Thai style. At first I didn't want to eat it, but oh god! Once I taste it, it becomes my messianic instrument 🤣 I remember keep talking to my frodns a about it all night long.

About cocoa, you describe the feelings very well! A kind of euphoria, really a crazy feeling! I will definitely continue to experiment with it, even if it's not "psychoactive" it's still nice to eat good chocolate under acid!

Would do again:
- Weed. It makes the headspace more confusing and it can be somewhat overwhelming especially if you're unlucky enough to have a bad reaction to the weed, but otherwise this combo rocks and I think it brings out the most out of a trip in terms of sensory experience. If you're someone that smokes weed a lot it's worth it, visuals can sometimes even double in intensity.
- DXM (or, probably more likely, just dissos in general). I had a couple GREAT experiences mixing DXM with LSD some years ago and it was really some of the craziest experiences I have had. Notably, one time I had mixed around 3 drops from a vial with 300mg of DXM, and had staggered it so that I took the DXM about 3 hours before I dropped. I listened to the same album for the following 3 hours straight writhing on my bed in ecstasy seeing immensely intense and unique visuals unlike a normal psych experience. Lots of alphanumerics, weirdly. But nowadays I wouldn't do this I feel too gross on DXM but I think any disso+psych would be worth exploring especially something straightforward like K
- Alcohol. If you struggle with anxiety it's a great way to ease into the bulk of a trip, you don't have to have much either. It's not ideal because it is icky on the stomach. However sometimes it's the move for being with friends or a loved one, it makes it more social and giggly.

Would not do again:
- Kratom. Any significant dose of kratom trying to digest into your system as you come up on a psych will cause you to vomit for 3 hours straight. It is awful, with normal kratom it's impossible to get to the point of euphoria because it's too gross for your body while you're already dealing with the huge task of processing a psychedelic. This is truly the worst, worst thing ever.
- Nitrous. Okay I'm lying I would do this again but I had a bad experience the only time I tried this. It felt like the axes of 3d space in our world were malfunctioning and producing tiny spots along certain lines parallel to these axes where if I touched them, it felt like my body was glitching like I was getting a very low amount of electricity straight to my brainstem or something. Felt twitchy and not good on the body, but I can imagine doing more than a single whippet might numb things out in a nicer way than what I tried.
- DPH. Low-mid dose (about 100mg) on the start of the come down from the peak made me have a bunch of heart anxiety and tachychardia. Did not do anything for the experience except making it feel poisonous.
- Mushrooms. I dont think mushrooms want to be mixed with anything, there's always this clear sense of rejection for the other substance while you're tripping.
- Nicotine. I already feel this sort of perpetual queasiness on psychedelics and depending on what the actual psych is, this is just a recipe to feeling nauseous. Even if I don't feel nauseous it really registers in my body as some archaic poison.
