Munchausen (sp?) Syndrome is a mental disorder where parents present their children as sick or weak in order to gain attention and/or drugs for themselves...
In the book "It" by Stephen King one of the characters comes from a family where his mother has it, and most recently Eminem has said his mother has it.

I take one Aciphex 20 mg every day, sometimes I'll pop an extra if I need it
I take it for a bleeding ulcer
I need something but this shit is next to useless

What are you drugs prescribed?
Lorazepam, Zoloft, Seroquel, Lithium, Vioxx, Klonopin
Why are you prescribed this particular drug?
The Vioxx is for back pain.
The rest are for depression and/or insomnia.
Do you really need this drug, or are you just faking it for recreation sake?
I got all of them (except for the Vioxx) from my drug happy psychiatrist. I told him I had a troubled childhood and he prescribed all these things to me which I don't need or take. Sometimes I take the K-pins to come down from coke and sometimes just to calm down after a fight with my mom or boyfriend. I have used the Seroquel to put me to sleep when I start to feel withdraw from H. Really, if I want pretty much anything I can just go to this guy and ask him for it by name and he just writes the script. However, the other day he wanted to talk to my mom and I, as a joint session. I didn't mind, I had a lot of shit I wanted to say to my mom with someone there to protect me. Instead he just let me say somethings to her, then cut me off and told her that I needed to forget going to school this semester and spend 6 weeks in some camp in Utah. I pretty much told him to fuck off and I left. I am a generally happy person and I think this doctor didn't listen to a word I said since I met him and just started writing scripts. I thought it was cool till he told my mom that I needed to be "committed". I will NEVER see him again.

being Zyprexa is better than benzos and better than codeine but not as good as Lortab, et. al.
Zyprexa is a quasi-benzodiazepine.No relation chemically to other benzos in any 'good feeling'
way.Better than codeine at what? Zyprexa makes me and most other people feel like Zombies that want to sleep for 2 days

60mg Cipramil/Celexa a day
40mg propranolol HCl 2-3 times a day
10mg Diazepam (almighty Valium) as required
All these drugs are prescribed for my depression/anxiety. I do need Cipramil/Celexa to live my life. I sometimes need propranolol and don't take it on a daily basis as my GP recommends. I definately don't need Valium, coz my anxiety isn't that bad. But i'm not gonna give it up 'coz i fell in love with it.

I take 10mg Prozac daily--- don't know why, I don't feel any different than I did before I started taking it.
When I had surgery a few months ago, I was prescribed to Percocet 5/325 and Vicodin. They say I am not suppose to have pain now, but I do occasionaly, but they won't give me anything else.
Ativan--use it recreational sometimes, but mostly for sleep and for flying.

I am not on any medications, although I am soon to be visiting a psychologist, and have my ADHD condition reviewed. I was diagnosed early, like 13-14 yrs old, and was prescribed tofranil and prozac, but seldomly took the pills because I had a real hard time getting over the psyhological block to swallow a pill. I was actually prescribed liquid prozac, because I told the doctor that I could not possibly swallow a pill that was as big as a herbal pill. A few months went by, and I just stopped taking it all. I didnt think it helped much.
But my reasons to go back are to possible recommend myself to a trial of adderall, because it works directly on the brain, rather than whatever the main ingredient in ritalin is, which I never was prescribed. Adderall really can help kids as well as adults with ADD/HD focus and complete tasks. Believe it. I have it, I live it, I know it.

I'm prescribed #120 Ativan 1mg tablets and #90 Dextrostat 10mg tablets per month. I need the Ativan as I have Generalized Anxiety Disorder -- couldn't live without it, or some other benzo. The Dextrostat is only taken as needed, which is a few times a week, when I need to be able to devote my attention to something.

Just got prescribed 10/350 hydrocodone for my bad back, also got a script for concerta, xanax, and paxil.

I got prescribed zoloft or prozac (forgot which) for depression when I was 14, but I never took it, I'm scared of those drugs =/
_Myke-

I was on 10mg Dexedrine XR twice daily, just switched to 20mg Ritalin XR twice daily for ADD (diagnosed at 32!).
Dexedrine made me too edgy, I find the ritalin a lot smoother.

25mg Thorazine morning and lunch and 50mg-100mg at bedtime(bedtime never happens anyway :( )
Also 2mg Alprazalom at the time i'm supposed to be going to bed.
Thorazine fucking sucks.
I,d like(and find very useful legitimately)2mg Alprazalom 2x a day and 4mg at night.
And this might be happening very soon :)
EDIT--I just realised i take the opposite meds to most people...the doctors can't slow me down enough...sometimes i wish i felt the opposite, but i guess the flipside is just as bad
Another EDIT--I'm perscribed these meds for Borderline Personality Disorder(BPD) and extreme/manic depression....i am definetely not scamming the doctors for meds.
The 15 stitches in my legs are pretty good evidence of that.
That said i maybe would still scam a Doctor for the Alprazalom...That shits called Xanax in the U.S,yeah???The brand i get is called Kalma....such a perfect name ;)

The usual therapeutic dose for prozac (fluoxetine) is 20mg/day. That "might" change something or then not...

Are you hyperactive, or way beyond hyperactive?
People with ADHD are usually given speed which generally has a calming effect on them.
Also, if you smoke weed, what effect does it have on you?

Im prescribed: Klonopin
For: Generalized anxiety, panic problems
Need it or not?: Yes, I definately do, and have yet to abuse it in any way.
