I made a stir fry with some rice. For the first time in ages the basmati rice cooked so it wasn't sticky, the one time when I would have been perfectly happy for it to be stick so I could fucking pick it up with chopsticks.

Also bought a macha melon pan at the japan centre, yummm

I really wouldn't have thought it but Chestnut Mushrooms Sautéed in chipolte oil with a bit of tarragon is LOVELY.

Kind of a mishmash for dinner tonight as I didn't choose the main but, Chicken and ham pie, Rice, mixed steamed veg and my mushies.

I've steamed the rice in chicken stock so hopefully it'll take on some flavour. I just didn't fancy potatoes.

stilton might stink like a mixture of old socks and unwashed cock but it is fucking lush in broccoli soup :D

I couldn't agree more. Broccoli smells mank when cooking too but combined in a creamy lush soup simmering on the stove. Ahhhh

it's starting to smell very appetizing now, along with some tiger bread this should go down a treat

nothing beats home cooked soup on a winters night, very comforting to eat when you can hear the wind whistle past and the patter of heavy rain on the window

ooh i shall give that a try, i always think i don't like gravy (maybe comes from being veggie i dunno) but i actually love it. especially in the winter

Plane food today pretty dire, but last night I had the most amazing Lebanese meal out. Don't ask me what it was, just ordered randomly but it was tasy as fuck - all lemony n' herby n' char-grilled with amazing salad and thin breadie stuff
