What are you munching on? v. Noodle nights n greedy monkeys

I know what you mean, eating low carb meals does cost more than the carb full alternative. If you have space in the garden, grow some vegetables out there and that will cut the costs.

That had been my plan for years but with any luck we'll be moving. Our garden was a state when we first moved in. The garden is nice now but never got around to a veggie garden.

I like growing pumpkins, squash and carrots. Once I do get around to getting my garden going I was thinking of trying my hand at potatoes and maybe peas too. We'll see. I also keep meaning to start a chilli plant in the house You can never have anough fresh chillies to hand.

Get some food on tick? How much of a regular must you be to get booze on tick. :p

I'm thinking some egg on toast for breakfast today (yes I know it's 3pm!).

Why is everyone cutting out carbs? Rice, potatoes and pasta are great.

weight loss for me spady. Gotta keep things in check.

Might make a bolognaise of sorts tonight for dinner but a sort of quick half arsed version likely. We've got some frozen mince in a bag from M&S which your supposed to cook straight from frozen, just bung it right into the frying pan so I'm curious to see how that turns out. Prob won't even make the sauce myself tbh there's bound to be a jar in the cupboard of something tomatoey.

ah, a boring tuesday night with nothing to do so... cooking night! pasta with napoletana sauce... yummy. and for desert a whole melon!

honing my skills for when someone will care

Just had some strawberries and cherries. Got them so cheap from the market and they were super tasty. French cherries <3

watermelon.

I love it, but I can't stand watermelon flavoured stuff. Same goes for peaches.

Soon to reheat yesterdays bolonaise (the frozen mince was OK but not great) with a baked potato.

M&S broccoli quiche, which is really nice apart from the pastry cause I'm not big on shortcrust n' salad was scoffed here.

God just went for the nicest schezuan meal with a french girl and her boyfriend. They're staying in London over summer, was nice to see them.

What did you have? I love schezuan beef.

Made a potato, leek and bacon cheese bake tonight.
