front of the cow mailman,

nah they dont make me windy. and yeah not that much beef on the plate, not needed, was all about the healthy green stuff. get enough protein through various fish and whatnot

those chillis burnt my mouth to bits

ha ha chillis and brussels you must have the constitution of an ox=D, that reeks of bad guts to me!

seems to take a lot to make my stomach bad these days, dunno if its to do with taking a lot of cayenne pepper capsules or not

anyone ever tried this stuff?

That's my favourite chilli sauce, my very favourite, I've got a few from hot-headz, but that mad dog 357 is a real humdinger...I've told my son he can't have any until he's been thoroughly checked out by and received a certificate from the doctor.

He's 5, and firmly believes that sort of shit. =D

Dan, try some of Satan's Nuts from the same place ;)

Bloody hell, Dan, you eat some weird old combos, I'll give you that.

I've just done in a bowl of mussels in white wine sauce with tiger bread. Really good, just what I needed.

oh fuckin ell i could do that now, love mussels, always same, white wine sauce parsley, shallots, and some nice crusty bread, tiger bread perfect....do you finish the sauce with cream or not? The purist on moules mariniere wouldn't use cream, but i quite often reduce the wine and cooking liquor down with a bit of cream too, helps it bind nicely to the mussels.....mussels are good now as well, 2 or 3 rivers near me produce loads of them....

ah you tosser, I'm starvin now, and not a mussel in sight :(

It's mega comfort food for me, just perfect for a cold day like today. Funnily enough I thought of you when I saw the tiger bread, I remember you raving about it a while back! I'm afraid to say this lot of mussels came boil in a bag from the supermarket, I'm meant to be busy today so couldn't justify proper cooking but I did 'em once properly and sloshed in a bit of cream and yeah it was great. They're surprisingly cheap but feel like a luxury.

Also it's one of the only dishes I like with actual bits of cooked celery in it.

yeah they really are cheap, I sometimes just collect e own, but if I have to buy them it's not like it's costing a lot ayway, probably costs me more in petrol to get down the estuaries and pick them meself....

Hvae to get me cockle rake out soon too, big fat fuckers in one of the estuaries down here, almost like queen clams they are.....and occasionally find a few oysters at the same time washed down from one of the oyster farms after the rivers have been in flood.

Man, I did one of their fish pies and holy moly it was out of this world!!! Took about 4 hours to make including prep but was well worth it. It had a celeriac top and no packets of fish from supermarket were used, all from scratch. Well worth it!!!
