Ha ha! And why not?! Cheese and Onion crisps with pretty much any chocolate is good as well. Washed down with something grim like Vimto...taste sensation!

It was my mum that got me into cheese and honey or cheese and vegemite, and of course the classic peanut butter and marmalade. Classic.

yeah so long as you have Aero Orange but Chocolate Orange will suffice . The Special Brew or similar H/S lager is important , you may as well just not bother without it .

I love chocolate from the fridge. Foodie folk will tell you chocolate is best enjoyed at room temperature. Chocolate is great from the fridge I think. Let it melt in your mouth if you have to. Wish I had some chocolate. Little person got a half packet of Haribo Starmix left but I would have to be a complete cunt to nick those. Maybe just the one. A red and white jelly heart

I knew whatever was in that link would awaken the dormant carnivore in me. Smokey bacon. Must be smokey. Please. Can someone distract God for a second so I could have a quick smokey bacon sandwich without appearing to have cheated. What do you mean he doesn't exist? Lol.

I sometimes watch Man vs. Food. Is fine until you realise it's just a tourist program. Why do they have cheese sauce on everything? I hear they are making a UK version. I've never been or worked anywhere that does an eating challenge. The portion size difference would make this easy for an American. Also I can't see Brits chanting 'go Adam go', more like 'who ate all the pies?'

I tried a Quorn product that was bacon style slices. They were akin to satanism. Tasted like bacon frazzles but with a texture of the soles of a shoe. Terrible.

Ben have you tried Quorn Chef's Selection burgers yet? They're amazing. And my cat eats quorn turkey and stuffing slices, and the other slices but those are the best. If a cat thinks it's meat, it's fucking meat

Give up on bacon substitues. IMO it's not happening.

In food news I had a lovely pasta in cream and cheese sauce, with mushrooms and red pepper, garlic and italian herbs, red Leicester, Gorgonzola and Parmesan, olive oil too of course. Was great! But fuck me I drank all the white wine last night so I've STILL to make it with white whine.

Also all this cream and cheese and oil, it frightens me a bit. But it tastes so good!

Ha ha Knock, yes I guess it must be if the master of meat detection says so. Although my little beast eats fucking anything so I wouldn't trust him tbh. I hate that fucking cat. I just know he will live forever. Anyway sorry...

Yes I have given up on finding a bacon substitute. Just not going to happen I know. I had to try it though. I don't think I want a meat substitute anymore as it happens, I'll explain when I mention the kievs I had.

I have tried the normal Quorn burgers and they are not bad really, but not the chef selection ones. My local supermarket doesn't carry a great deal of vegetarian things so I struggle to find a lot of choice but we sometimes get a home delivery so will try and add some next time we do. Thanks for the heads up.

On the meat substitute thing. I really like the Quorn sausages. Not because they are like real sausages but because they have a unique flavour and texture which I have grown fond of in their own right.

I tried a fake chicken kiev a while back and here's the thing. The texture was so much like processed shaped chicken I couldn't enjoy the food and had to check the box by fishing it out of the bin because I believed it was (albeit) mechanically processed chicken. Strange.

I also tried some Linda McCartney scampi things and they weren't bad. Nothing like scampi or fish at all. Definitely not the flavour of scampi but pleasant enough in their own right.
