I like it crispy on the outside and cheesy on the inside, like good chips should be crisp but soft and fluffy in the middle. What do you do to your halloumi, do you add herbs and spices?
Yeah heat the oil and spices then add the halloumi to the pan. Lovely and crispy on the outside soft on the inside. shallow fried in about 1cm deep oil.Is this deep or shallow fried halloumi? Have heard it's nice shallow fried in olive oil. Vague impression that it may be nice breadcrumbed and deep fried but may well be thinking of other cheese. Am not a massive fan of halloumi really. Doesn't it just taste of salt and rubber?
What? Raw?Salty is mainly what I was thinking but with rubbery overtones. Only had it as it comes though so will reserve judgement.
interesting, are you Switzerland?Shoulder is fucking lovely.
Halloumi? Nobody griddle? Nice halfway house between frying and grilling, best of both worlds.
interesting, are you Switzerland?
Surely veggie sushi is just sliced raw vegetables? Carrot sticks basically. I'd be on to Trading Standards about that![]()
