Sounds pelicious. By the way your joke at Dan the other day, the one about running out of K, made me chuckle.

Fairly big ass bowl of pasta 'n' beefy bolognesesque sauce. Put plenty fresh veggies in me sauce too. I'm a veritible healthfood nut these days me.

My missis made a bolognese tonight, but it's a bit shit, and I don't like pasta.

So I made a load of rice, and added a load of kidney beans and chilli to mine.

My mum bought me a roast dinner round... I'm still being smother mothered because of the kerosene insident. lol I have developed a chest infection but am capable of rustling something up. Bless though :) Love the woman. Bloddy love er <3

Ed: by all accounts* manna was a bit dull though JC even if it was magical. Like flakes of frost that the israelites had to collect every morning in the desert.

Ambrosia is the stuff you want.

* must confess thats just my impression of the manna. I hope i dont get struck by lightarghhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Fuckloads of chili (green and red fresh 'uns and a hefty dash of Insane-O-Burn chili sauce) in me bolognesey, Mr Monkey. Food without chili is suspect by definition :sus:

I opted for pasta-based dins as I've been on curry & rice back-to-back for ages now it seems so fancied a different carbohydrate. Got just shy of a metric fucktonne left so looks like I'll be continuing the theme for a coupla days or so...

Isn't that a tad... pagan for you, Miss Halo?!? 8o

Leaving aside the issue of non-existence for a moment, I've always been a fan of the "Manna = ("Magic") Mushrooms" theory meself. As a theological theory of certain aspects of Biblical "history" goes, it's considerably more plausible than any of that "Goddidit" malarky :p;)<3

In current munchings news, just munched another Viennese Whirl dunked in coffee. Handy thing about Viennese Whirls is that they're meant to be slightly soft even when bought before the Best Before date :)

"Stale" is but a state of mind, Ms Wicked ;)

/meaningless and tawdry "zen" witterings

Although technically correct, b&w, there's no need to go eroding my carefully-laid foundation of fundamental dissociation from the harsh realities of slightly stale baked foodstuffs. Reality tyrant :p

Oh and you learn a fancy way of opening a packet of pasta as well :)

Not bad, I'll be pretending I thought of that myself next time I cook pasta in front of someone. And I'll be turning down any hand jobs from Rick Stein unless I want a serious case of Postman's Dick.

I've opened packets of spaghetti that way for as long as I can remember. Certainly long before Rick Stein has been on tellybox. Perhaps I have Italian blood. Or perhaps I just liked to experiment with mixing mild aggression with mad cookery skillz when I initially got into cooking stuff as a nipper. Don't recall but can easily imagine a scenario where I'd systematically hit things against other things to see what happens to either or both of said things thus accidentally striking 'pon pasta packaging-based gold.

Does look like a mightily tasty carbonara does that though, Eclipse. In related news, had some more of me bolgnesey pasta for lunch cos there's a lot that needs using. Still got a good two bowlfuls already besmothering pasta and ready to munch at a moment's notice left in one pot and not much less than half of the original sauce sans mixer in t'other pan. Might take a leaf outta Mr Monkey's (recipe) book come the morrow's dins and add beans and stuff to magic it into chili con carne to vary the theme.

You mean you don't decant your spaghetti, other pasta, rices, beans and pulses etc etc to other vessels? 8o (see below for general idea) I thought everyone did that and then recycled the wrappers.

I think I spend too much time organising things to free up time so I can organise more things, to...8(

I ate a whole part baked baguette, baked till golden crunchy, really hot straight from the oven with a LOT of butter. Very quickly. It did comfort me for all of 5 minutes :\

There's a beef and pepper madras in my slow cooker, it smells nice.
