Saw them last year without Jello singing. They were awesome. Saw Jello the year before and he was awesome too. Shame they wont reunite properly.
They might have sounded a bit strange without their usual singer? But the musicians are excellent anyway, and its not really as if Jello is a great singer.

The Only Ones - The Beast perhaps one of the most accomplished and amazing only ones tracks, the lyrics are quite dark, probably about heroin addiction, the track climaxes in quite an extended, amazing, wild, and spontaneous sounding 'rock out jam', (as do many of their tracks) but The Beast is possibly one of the best examples of this type of thing that i have ever heard. (Imo)
The Tourists - I Only Want To Be With You (1979) I didn't know that Annie Lennox and Dave Stewart were in this band before the Eurythmics. I must say that it totally rocks, with a great pounding bass line, and the song, particularly Annie Lennoxs' singing has a very 60s pop style feel to it, which is no bad thing Imo.

Whitesnake - Is this Love HD 1080p We were all still at school when this album was released, it was really popular with everyone, one of those albums that was a pleasure to catch on the radio, even my g/f at the time had a copy, those slow soft metal tracks were pretty well done by whitesnake around 1987 when they released this album.
Madonna - 01. Like A Prayer

Band of Horses - Factory I saw them play tracks from this and their earlier albums live, i had seen the lead singer walking around the city close by the venue just before the gig, totally unself conscious no typical lead singer ego explosion issues with that guy, the rest of the band were great too, they filled the venue with this amazing really big sound that typically only american bands have, but their music also created a gorgeous chilled and respectful vibe in the medium sized venue that night. Definitely a quality band. Lucky to see them at a relatively modest sized venue. Their music is a good mixture of a powerful indie guitar band, and some of the tracks were much more chilled out, but some also had the really powerful big american indie rock band sound.

I haven't listened to these albums very much, but i got the impression at the gig that the majority of the tracks were definite growers, and that impression has been completely reinforced by re-listening to the albums this evening. Definitely gonna be listening to a lot more of this bands stuff.
Is There A Ghost is easily their most popular and biggest track, it was played quite a lot on radio6 and xfm when it was released iirc.
