To clarify, I suffer from audial hallucinations when I suffer from sleep dep

i was in a band from 16-18, but im a failing musician, i tried the drums (just the basic 4/4 as in zz tops gimme all your loving, which we practiced to at school, and the base drum or snare on the off counts) and the base, became ok-ish, im a great air drummer and air guitarist of all kinds though:\, then i chopped the tip of my left hand forefinger in a gardening accident, whcih does not make playing my favourite instrument, the acoustic guitar any easier, before that accident i was getting quick and nimble with my left hand chord changes etc, but my strumming was woefull, now im returning to try ayd pcik it up again after a gap of many years, and strangely my strumming is way better than it was, but those things that needs lots of practice, like speed of accuracy of left hand for chords and finger picking etc. also right hand need practice for that obs too, but i used to be ok at that, so hoping it somes back fairly quick, ive rememebered a few chord progerssions i can do pretty well, but i really struggle with simple things now like changing from g major to d major or osmthing, so embarrasing, but i will persevere unless frustartion gets the better of me. With so msuch on you tubenow theers the chance to learnr lie never before.

Im also a fiend for the music of my teens and 20s, and my 'second youth' from 38-42 y/o or something, which happened when pre-ban mephedrone was easily available and gave me a whole new appetite for music. I need to try and fill in some of the several year gaps in my musical knowledege :o ive ben smoking quite a lot of hash, taking lots of stims and g recently too, which is almsot as good as meph for music listening imo, has accounted for the marathon long sesions and mega posts, and also discovering and likeing new stuff fmor my ears, its a while since ive been that adventurous. :\:|:o

tldr; sorry, im a shit musician, i do love music, but lts of beingeing over recent months has accounted for the marathon seesions and mega posts,

I think we musicians need to get together one day <3 I too lobbed off part of my finger. Mine is the Middle finger of my right hand . Great when it was bandaged as I had a reason for flipping people off =D Like I ever need a reason!

I'm very good with speed and accuracy when it comes to Clarinet and Trumpet. I'm good at bass because it's slow and the strings are so far apart. Guitar I suck at. I just don't get it. Grown men with ham hands can play guitar like an awesome mad man but I can't get my head around it. It hurts and I'm too clumsy. I can play piano though. Again, far apart....

Basically, I suck at what I'm exceptional at;)

Hot dang!

I do love a bit of Costello but his name rarely pops up in my head when I'm struggling for something to listen to. I shall add him to my little list that I refer to when I'm stuck :)

Khusugtun Mongolian Ethnic Ballad Group

I've been getting really interested in overtone/throat singing and some of my favourite stuff is Mongolian. I've been trying to learn it a bit myself and I'm getting closer. The harmonics are coming through for me but it's just about maintaining them.

Madness - One Step Beyond

Psyching myself up (gently) for a ska new wave reggae night out 8(=D

you might wanna try this one, one of my school friends was and still is in this band, and he cant half sing and play / write a good ska tune. He was always into ska/madness etc from one year older than me in school. They have now escalated their performances, traveling from mid wales - to playing at big european ska festivals.

cartoon violence -attic. Its a pretty happy tune, considering that the singers possible future wife said that they would not be Wed.

^ Funny that, I was listening to The Mighty Lemon Drops earlier. Also, It's A Sin is probably the song my mother loathes most in the world cos I used play the shit out of it.
<3

I love the Mighty Lemon Drops, they have such cool basslines, and guitar effects. I did not like It's A Sin until i saw the film Manson, I'm sure the version in the film was way more dramatic and clever by virtue of it's HD/HQ sound quality.

One outta' four ain't baaaad. ;)

*ahem*

Highroller - TCM
While '97 may be late to the literal and metaphorical party, this track is one that will always make me just a little bit envious of those who experienced the original rave scene.

err sorry Bob, you made a total hash of the lyrics, if wiki is accurate, it was actually a song about Nelson Mandella, nothing to do with being gay or straight. :\
