Style Council - "You're The Best Thing"

One of her favourites, when I was ill last year and she new I might end it all she sent me a card with these words in:-

I could runaway but I'd rather stay
In the warmth of your smile lighting up my day
(the one that makes me say, heh)

'Cause you're the best thing that ever happened to me or my world
You're the best thing that ever happened - so don't go away

I'm a soppy old feker at heart, you can remind me of that next time I start rantin shite !

For some reason I had that song in my head in the shower this morning. Be spooked.

Wahey! At least it wasn't Synchronicity by The Police (no, not them, Ismene).

I've got this on, only heard it for the first time today. First time the chorus sounded bollox, about an hour later I realised I was singing that chorus as I made me lunch, since then it's been on about fifteen times: B.O.B. ft Wiz Khalifa -- Fuck The Money (Remix)

Mmmmmmake a lot of money, then I'm gonna quit this quit this cra-aaaa-aaa-zy scene.

I'd forgotten about Mr. C entirely. Between him and Ricardo DaForce, the nineties were a golden period for the cheesy rap interlude. John Barnes can take the credit for leading the way. Or maybe not.

As an example to any young boy who wants lessons in being a Real Man:

Motörhead - Killed By Death

The Shamen - Move any Mountain

It creaks, but it's a classic. Hideous rap from Mr C but you just have to forgive it as a product of innocent times.

Always remids me of the trajic death of Will Sinnott whilst making the video, I saww them live before Mr C was involved they could only play 4 tracks with the mass of equipment they had on stage, they played the Elevators "slip inside this house " as an encoure.

In Gorbachev We Trust

and the later

En-Tact

are my fav albums underrated IMO due to ther comercial success and the anoying Mr C
