Actually atm23, your right, I don't *hate* his music, just don't like it and it annoys me how overrated it, so i dislike it and am annoyed by the adulation of it.

lol, bed ;)

I know what you mean I'm kinda the same with Pink Floyd (post Syd) and have probably said I've hated them before so I know where your comming from, I think with Marley he became a symbol of something and actually managed to make some small levele of political change but I don't go for the worship of him either, given his beliefs I don't even think he would approve.

Know what you both mean too.
There are many, many artists that I don't listen to but respect non-the-less, if that makes any sense :)
I think it's important not to just dismiss an artist purely because you don't listen to them. There are still countless positive and interesting aspects to an artist that you don't feel that much. There's still something quantifiably special about them :)

So true Monsta. Especially when you're like me and you tend to have a narrow, obsessive focus. There's plenty of stuff I'd never go and listen to by myself but I can respect or even enjoy otherwise. Some things just grip you, some things don't, but I admire anyone who's able to effortlessy listen to and appreciate music across the board.

I wouldn't click on any of my links if I were you. I post some really horrible shit. And then there's Gary Glitter...

I'm in the office so I can't be doing so now but it's probably time I did. Especially if you're setting me a test. ;)

"I'ma take your brain to another dimension"

was the one i was lookin 4 , n i don't do consoles i was bussin ultramagnetic in 1988, still if it exposes them to more folk then its good i suppose.

"Class, you wasn't able to pass
For any germ or lice who come last
I'm boric, high computing acid
Get off the mic and won't you please pass it
to me, for a one-two check
Give me a pound and lots of respect"

on another level ,
he was put in a mental institution after this album , cos he said some weird stuff in a interview n it got mi=s interpreted

Oh I know that Brimzy (pay close attention please) 8) =D It's just a line I like.
"Cook it, like a fish I'll hook it..."
I loved hearing tunes that I knew on the radio stations of GTA games - They've got quality musical tastes :)

yeah like i said if it lets kids no about proper hip hop , n history then its all good .

Tad annoying when on u tube its all thumbs up if gta brought u here , when you been down with it for 27 years like:\

I'll stick up for post-Syd Floyd, though only to an extent.

I'm a big Syd fan (I received more messages of condolence when Syd died than when my mother did) but I feel there's some merit to their subsequent work although they got really pompous and overblown. Unsurprisingly I can identify with 'pompous and overblown'. ;)

Wouldn't want to go for a pint with either Gilmour or Waters though. No way.

Just started listening to that DJ JS - 1 track, I'm feeling the production massively. Not so much a fan of Kool G but appreciate his lyrical skills :) But yea, lush instrumental.

Are you a fan of Souls of Mischief Brimz?
I've spent so many nights lying around stoned (in the past) or nodding out (in the present) with a grin on face listening to
From 93 'Till Infinity (whole album's fantastic.

I put it up for the production , he's got skills , theirs plenty of stuff by him on u tube , i put the G Rap one up well you should no by know , but i believe that his skills JS 1 are not very widely appreciated outta N.Y n i think he deserves a bigger audience.

Souls of Mischeif are dope , yeah that album is a proper classic , have u checked that Papoose track with AZ n G Rap yet , its fukin crazy , do it just for the A team steez , waht do u think of papoose i think hes the best lyricist outta N.Y presently if u like real shit , n AZ has been under rated for ever.
