Sid, you type the name of the artist / song in your post , Highlight it. Have the link copied, go to the little globe, click, paste linky. Hope that helps love.

Well, if you click on the icons, it shows you the "square bracket" codes in the text editing bit. The computer is only bothered about the actual contents of the square brackets; it doesn't care whether you typed them by hand or clicked an icon and entered them into a requester. If you are so inclined, you can learn how to recreate any of the fancy clickable effects manually (and probably will find it faster that way).

I'd post a link, but I'm too taken with Sprout's Smiths tracks .....

Oh, first the Smiths and now Cast! <3 I had pretty much forgotten all about Cast. I "borrowed" a CD from my younger sister (just somehow, a cassette of the album found its way onto my shelves) and was hooked. She even took me to see them in town once (yeah, I know, but ...... Seeing Cast made up for any potential uncool factor of going to a gig with her.) This takes me back :) <3

just experimenting, that's a far easier way of embedding links, Cheers Sadie. :D (Not that the other way is that complicated but it can seem that way, too much effort and concentration on detail required and far too fiddly if you happen to be highly intoxicated:\)

Now if i make any more mega-posts in this this thread they wont take up so much room, and those that arent interested (practically everybody it seems) can easily just scroll right past.

I can quite confidently say that i dont think i will ever learn the url brackets. It doesn't help that i normally only post in this thread when i am fucked, and don't have the patience to be fiddling about with minute attention to detail under those circumstances.

eh? I dont understand what you are talking about. :? [cant you just press the square bracket keys on your k/b if you want stuff to appear in them]?

Please don't trouble yourself by explaining further, I'll probably never do what it is you are talking about anyway......;):D I haven't needed it up until now, so chances are i never will....
