What are you listening to? Ver. Shine On

Burzum - Belus

Never really been sold on the concept record thing but this is growing on me

Deftones - 976 Evil

nice end to their latest release

For a thousand days
You've been staring away
Are you phased?
Or are you thinking?
Your crack a smile and wave
Doesn't scare me away
Hit the brakes I feel like
Cruising with you too

So I gaze in your eyes
And I wonder can you take me on?
Your haze that I'm under
Come and wake me up soon

Take a bow and wave
As you're carried away
It was great
But I'm not leaving
Your crack a smile and wave
Still doesn't scare me away
Just hit the brake I feel like
Cruising with you too

So I gaze in your eyes
And I wonder can you take me on?
Your haze that I'm under
Come to wake me up...

For a thousand days
We could get carried away
Are you in?
I'm anxious
And i feel like cruising with you

So I gaze in your eyes
And I wonder, can you take me on?
Your haze that I'm under
Come to wake...

So I gaze and I want her
Can you take me on?

Radiohead is one band I really want to see at least once live. But it seems they rarely (if ever?) have toured Australia, maybe just not Perth. So many good albums.

So in saying that, I'm listening to;
Radiohead - All I Need

^i'd do unsavoury things to get ahold of a ticket were they to tour australia in the coming months or early next year. even seeing thom tour himself would be nice. they've definitely got a big enough and diverse catalogue to make any set list worth while.

That's a great link, thanks lefty. I'm totally in the mood for Radiohead right now :)

i try limit myself to watching/downloading one new live set of radiohead each week so i can have a nice time out to myself watching a nice performance:) there's alot of full concerts of radiohead available on youtube, most in great quality too.

i decided to check out Radioheads Live From the Basement while i was doing some cleaning and in between bluelighting. it's yet another quality set souns and visually; it was a DVD release.

they're not tehe only band i listen to but i've deinitely had them playing between other stuff a good amount of time.

i'm about to nod out to it i think so i'm going crawl into my bed:D

Musing on a facecrack thing about listing 15 albums that affected you had me pulling out an early Autechre album today - Amber. It's still f&^%*^ing awesome!

Have been playing Alice Coltrane's "Ptah the el daoud" a few times lately - some really nice stuff; beautiful piano improv with a strong supporting band.

Also dragged out some early Autechre (Amber and Tri Repeatae) - still great :)

And I went to a single launch (on 7" vinyl no less) for Go Genre Everything on the weekend. If I tell you the line up (girl on drums, boy on guitar) you will just say "Oh sounds like the White Stripes" but they are so much more than that - truly a unique sound that defies classification. And they were on fire on Friday too so it was a tops night :)

More than happy to buy a few Chemical Brothers CD's the other day, they were cheap as chips and has so much listen-ability. Had loved them in the past and stoked to own proper copies now :)
