Been listening to Shpongle's new album and to be honest I'm unimpressed. I mean musically it's all together. What you would expect. I think that's the problem. I think if you were told to make an album that sounds just like Shpongle you would probably come up with this album. There's nothing new or groundbreaking on it at all. It's all exactly as you would expect and previous albums have done it better I'm afraid. I remember the first time I heard Shpongle and thought it had come form outer space. Well it all sounds very samey now sadly.

It has a few good moments but nothing surprising or new.

Ohhh, didn't know they had a new one out, will have to give that a listen later cos I've been playing them quite a bit recently, amongst similar stuff. I suppose that's the danger with most music though, gets samey after a while, though I know a few artists can keep it up without completely ruining their sound or getting boring. BoC have done it well, Brian Eno obviously. Erm...

I'm just still bitter about Green Day, I think.

Ooh. I've still not got around to listening to that. Ta for the reminder. Am tempted to go to the London show but it's rather expensive. :/
