http://youtu.be/uGsSIw8IpCA Alan Jackson-Don't Close Your Eyes

I know you loved him along time ago
And even now in my arms you still want him I know
But darlin' this time let your mem'ries die
When you hold me tonight don't close your eyes

Don't close your eyes let it be me
Don't pretend it's him in some fantasy
Darling just once let yesterday go
And you'll find more love than you've ever known
Just hold me tight when you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes

Maybe I've been a fool holding on all this time
Lying here in your arms knowing he's in your mind
But I keep hoping someday that you'll see the light
Let it be tonight, don't close your eyes

Don't close your eyes let it be me
Don't pretend it's him in some fantasy
Darlin' just once let yesterday go
And you'll find more love than you've ever known
Just hold me tight when you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes

Don't close your eyes let it be me
And don't pretend it's him in some fantasy
Darlin' just once let yesterday go
And you'll find more love than you've ever known
Just hold me tight when you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes

Just hold me tight when you love me tonight
And don't close your eyes...

That would be the reason for providing linkies in such a thread, Bear - go clickee some and educate yerself ;)

Clicked the linkies you provided on the subject - I'm still non the wiser about the music or the group. I do now know that a track by them is called 'Siva' - increased my knowledge of them 100% so thank you for sharing such insight.

Mind you the other thing I learned from the linkies - Billy looks much better older and fatter :)

As you know, love me some Swans!

It is a horse of a different color, but what do you think of Gira's project The Angels of Light? I didn't think I'd like it, but I do, the first album especially.

So google could tell me, but that's no fun....is Jarboe part of the reformed Swans? I saw them a few times in the early 90's....was too young in the 80's but my folks would go. My mom was pen pals with Jarboe, she'd get nice little presents in the mail like mummified mice wrapped in wire, etc. ...

Jarboe was on the last album, but no, she isn't part of the new band. Which kinda sucks, especially as she really made the last record sound so much bigger. It took me a while to get used to the idea of Swans without her, it really did.

I like the Angels too, yeah! Very much a songwriter's project and different from Swans, but if you like Gira then it works. And I happen to like Gira!

I'm really jealous of you seeing them back in the day, btw. I was only about 16 when they broke up for the first time.

That's incredible! I'd love it if Jarboe were to send me a dead mouse. =D

Not heard that in ages, its one of my favourite tracks of theirs. Wall of sound. Id have loved to have seen them live in some small dingy venue. I bet theyd have been awesome.

The Damned / Help (1976)

The only fault is that it's too short at 1:42. They could have stretched it out twice as long.

Suicidal Tendencies - Subliminal | Channel X Radio Station | GTA

Discharge - State Violence State Control

Dont know what to listen to, from one extreme to another

Fleetwood Mac - Gypsy 1982 Video stereo widescreen

I'll say! I missed the chance to see them live, but I lap up any footage I can find.

I'd forgotten all about that! Thanks. :)

Speaking ambiguously obviously and not referencing anything in particular - Not. At. All - But I know the unspeakable amount of wretched vomit that pours forth from certain directions is frustrating (hence partially why I'm no longer here) but there's some solace to be had from the contrast and reminder that you'll (I'll) never be afflicted by the same empathy deficient, sick minded, putrid disease ... the inevitable long drawn out death of the disease, mainly from loneliness, will undoubtedly be miserable, and excrutiating.
