Yeah that's some beautiful tunage inflorescence. Don't even know what genre that is. Kinda ambient house, fuck knows. Real nice though.

Oh my god, just got to the bit where the beat kicks in proper at 3 mins 40 ish. So sweet.

Me, I can't get enough of this

Tame Impala - Feels like we only go backwards

Autechre - Basscadet

Autechre - Lowride

Former cos it's lush, latter cos also lush but probably as accessible as Autechre get. Plus the vid with it is a corker - only thing you need to see is that bass a-throbbin' <3

Love that Miike Snow - The Rabbit tune. Best thing he's done by some margin n my opinion. From what I've heard of his anyway.

Was playing the 'a random cd from your collection' game and landed on this album but someone posted before I got a chance.

The album was 'Myths of the near future' by the Klaxons. Had to put it on. Yeah it has it's naff moments but the killer tunes are killer.

We all know 'Golden Skans' and 'Gravity's Rainbow' so I'll not post those. :D

Klaxons - Atlantis To Interzone

Klaxons - Magick

...and this great cover version:

Klaxons - It's Not Over Yet

Quoting in full as I agree with every word of it. That Klaxxons album is just criminally underrated <3

(and you happened to pick the majority of my faves off it)

I think kate's mentioned Donovan here a couple of times. I can't believe we've gone our whole lives without being aware of that mad genius, his stuff is sheer perfection.

Also, I'm excited to have found some actual worthwhile new music this year in Lorde. I reckon she's one of those once-in-a-decade talents like Kate Bush or Joss Stone, her music & voice are amazing.

Entire "Pure Heroine" album here.

That's rather odd. I've been meaning to post the same thing for ages - also the full album. Only reason I haven't is cos it comes with rather a tale attached and haven't gotten around to finding words to put said tale in yet. I will say that it's the only record I know of that will induce spontaneous outbursts of genuinely heartfelt sobbing at regular intervals. Can barely get past the intro for some of the tracks. That doesn't actually mean a damn thing without the attached tale - cos is a doozy 8o - but will simply reinforce recommendation in the meantime whilst I find words for tale.

That's what we like to see of oor FG. Nice choonchoice too :)

Echo & The Bunnymen - Heroin (live)

Never come across this version before but is rather a goodie. Shame the end is cut so short but like the way he chops and changes the lyrics around. Also, the youthful MDB is third along the line in the pic. FACT!

And gonna include this on principle despite the fact I've only just started to actually listen to it. I know it's gonna be worth a recommendation so no point messing...

Yo La Tengo w/ Andrew Bird - Heroin (live)

Tonight I have been mostly joy riding and blazing out Ill Manor to wake up sleepy village lights out at 9pm people..yes I am feeling anti social..and now I have had pretty little bottles of corona with limes and feeling all...

POWER LUNCH - HAR MAR SUPERSTAR

8o

...and actually in his previous incarnation which is probs more apt...sigh..

sean na na princess and the pony

Oh I love this............

I've been a big Plan B fan since his demo days. He gets a bit wanky at times but mostly a fan. Do prefer his oldskool stuff though but that Ill Manors album has some decent tunes on it. Must admit that Prodigy mix left me kinda cold though. Didn't seem to add anything worth having to me. Prefer the original, frankly.

That Electric Chairs cover is quality. Yes it is Barbie Girl but that's part of the ironic point, I presume. The Orb saw fit to include it on their Back to Mine album so works for me. And Electric Chairs are quality anyway.

Also, that Goldfrapp cover happens to be what I am listening to as I type this and am more impressed than I expected to be. I have mixed opinions re: Ms Goldfrapp. Another one of those that was just too damn popular for me to ever want to listen to that I've since been corrected on once or twice. That's a really nice cover so will take that as a further correction and spank me lil botty for poncery :o

You inspired me on a lil Plan B run...

Plan B - Missin' Links (Radiohead Version) - vid was really good too but got deleted ages back for copyright violation, tune seems to get away with it tho...

Plan B - Kidz (Time 4 Plan B acoustic version) - properly inspirational tune from his original demo. Pisses over the album version from a great height. As do all the other tracks that are on both.

Plan B - Paint It Blacker - one of me faves off his second mixtape. Also counts as a cover inna very roundabout way...

Plan B - Wild Horses - as above. Recall getting all tearful over it one time whilst very drunk. Must be a daddy dearest thing 8)

<3

Must admit just bunged that version of Ill Manors here as not many have heard it..got to agree in hindsight..if it aint broken don't fuck about with it really. Same feeling towards Miss Goldfrapp but friend took me as she had a spare tticklet and I was blown away at her live and have given her some listening time since.

I will be having a listen to your choices. My little brother got to go to one of his first gigs in a local south landan boozer many moons ago and initiated my love affair with the lovely little oik.<3

Avin this, then yours then please god..let me sleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeep. I can't sleep..more etz..more beer..:|

Depeche Mode - Behind the Wheel (LIVE - Rose Bowl 1988)

and quite frankly phwoarrr Dave Gahan was/is will always be my celebrity sex god! Na night shambles dear x

Never did get into Depeche Mode. Found 'em dull at the time but was perhaps a betwixt and between age... was also dead fussy. Suspect I'd probably like some of their stuff these days but never gotten around to it. Will let you know...

Completely random discovery just moments ago wot has pleasantly surprised me...

Spoek Mathambo - Control - Joy Division cover with added funkypantsness that manages to stay dark as fuck too. Impressive combo. Vid probably helps with the latter. Looks like Sarf Efriken choonz are on the up of late...

Nightyy-night, Ms Flo <3
