http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2TB2f9oBK98 - MARKLEY - Roger the Rocket Ship

fandabbydozy :)

mmmmmmmm... pretty crap... wasted a couple of minutes of my life.

Rubbish... these are just slow songs from the 80's... I'm guessin' your 40+ and your music taste doesn't agree with my generation of hardcore and techno?

Inexplicably listening to Dschinghis Khan Moskau.

I'm not sure why.

That's got to be not only the worst song of the entire thread, but possibly of all time. Then, I expect nothing less from a Hitler porn collector ;)

C'mon guys.... Can you try harder to please me.

If I could have that under my mod title, I would ;)

The Beach Boys - Darlin'

Can't get enough of 'tramp era' Beach Boys right now:

Mmmmm... sexy. <3

Stone Roses - Love Spreads (Demo '93)

Not the greatest sound quality (although inexplicably somewhat brighter than my own copy :!) but a nice version of a song that's been kinda done to death (great as it is). Makes a nice change from the original anyway. Kinda slower and more bluesy, I guess. Nice sound anyway <3

Sonic Youth - Hendrix Necro & Genetic (vinyl version)

Posted for two reasons. Firstly cos it popped up on my shuffle button (which rarely lets me down... shuffle button shuffler <3) but in large part cos it's one of those records with a double groove which - as any who have ever possessed such a thing will know - is a complete headfuck. I once had a Monty Python album with six - count 'em six - grooves on one side. This was right around the time I discovered the joys of drugs. Make of that what you will...

If I'm not mistaken, when my stalkerbility skillz where still in top form (while making sure books weren't ones already read), I founded these guys hackcidentally (no hacking occurred tho honest, just many hours labouriously reading EADD book threads) .. good looking lead singer? amirite? ... <3 (probably very wrong but I just can't click ... ) .... weird ... I like the suspense too much I think <3

Bookmarked for later - suspect I'll be liking that.
^ This <3 (still can't click tho .... wtf?!)

One for FG's appreciation...

Duran Duran Duran - Face Blast

Noooooo ..... much better Duran Duran Duran Duran ----> Duran Duran - The Chauffeur <---- their best track ever!

[PS: 1st lulz of the day Raas. Thank you ... they were much MUCH needed <3]

Currently listening/snivelling to: (don't bother clicking, it's just nostalgic nonsense for me to wail to)

Glen Campbell - Wichita Lineman

&

Glen Campbell - Honey Come Back

I just got drunk accidentally ... but it was a much needed accident

I hope they play some Floyd at knock's funeral ... I really really really hope they do ...

(I'd obviously want this .... but he'd probably cringe ... I'm not floyd cool enough to choose the right track for him). Shm? ....

*goes off to look for a suitable PATGOD track*

(Zomg, embedding violation ... ban me, kthnx!)

Mz Marmz: With the combination of slagging my beloved Duran Duran Duran (admittedly not their best track I posted - that one was specifically for FG as it contains so much 2 Live Crew sample I thought he'd approve) you then go ahead and post a vidembed?!? :!

I'll let it slide. Just this once. But [please don't make me enforce the rules, folks 'n' dolks <3

In response to your actual tunage...

KLF - Wichita Lineman Was A Song I Once Heard - not sure i've ever heard it outta context but the album is such a classic it can hardly fail to please <3

(had it on vinyl dontcha know... i may've once or twice mentioned that :!)

Why? - These Few Presidents (live)

Another shuffle button suggestion. I know damn well I like these fellas but must admit I can't recall ever actually listening to a full album. I think I've become somewhat addicted to my shuffle button. Makes life so much easier. Especially since loss of speakers means I'm headphones-only for actual sounds of things. The sound may be frikkin awesome (thanks, Knock <3) but it is somewhat distracting compared to background speaker noise which means I listen to a lot less music than I once did :\

EDIT: 'Ello, Brimizin :)

Smashing Pumpkins - Frail & Bedazzled/Silverfuck (live '11) - yes, we all know they were half the band they used to be at this stage but those are still some belters of versions - up there with the best, i'd say - and especially the latter which is at least as good as my all-time fave version, if not just a but better... although am pissed so may be overegging it. you decide ;)

Godbox - Frail & Bedazzled - surprisingly funky cover. still prefer the original but not bad at all as pumpkins covers go.

Verve - Here She Comes Again (live Wigan '90)

Kept being told that properly oldskool Verve stuff was quality (unlike their latter, mass-market drek). Remember seeing posters all over town around that era but never much thought about cos only the one properly painfully wanky indiekid was into it and I was kinda distracted around that time. If they sounded like that I take it all back, well, aside from the mass-market drek stuff cos that is FACT! as y'all who also bought that album off the back of Bittersweet Symphony are well aware :D

Amen Andrews Vs. Spac Hand Luke (Vibert) - Intelligent - proof, if ever needed proving, that any and all luke vibert side projects are worth a listen or several <3

Close Up Over - Caz - not at all positive on the actual name for this one as have it under some completely different name but off the same album... is a quality tune all the same <3

Venetian Snares - Choprite - admittedly not known for his musicality combined with danceability, but this one is a bit of a stomper all the same <3

ACO Underground ft.Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) - Electric Counterpoint (Steve Reich) | Live - damn near got me in tears for one or many of several reasons. the one i'm choosing to share right now being that that there is techincally a friend of a friend (albeit several years passed) and it kinda makes a boy think a lil on his choosing of the path he did when so many others were open to him at that time... if only he realised it and hadn't been blinded by egofail :\

(still, a belter of a tune even leaving aside the maudlin crap - frikkin knew i knew that riff from other than the obvious - shuffle button sees me right once again tonight <3)

Mochipet - Robot Dunk Juice (ill.Gates Vs. Little John Remix) - Genuinely snorted booze from my nose and sniggered extensively upon hearing the initial sample from this random PooToob find (y'all'll recognise it and do the same I suspect :D)

Mochipet - Justin Timberlakecore - the previous random PooToob find what led me to the above - don't let the timberlake thing put you off, is a quality tune timberlake or no.

Mochipet - Laffy Taffy Core - seemed vaguely appropriate... (also a fine tune - surprised i've never come across the fella before as appears to have been around for a while and given my musical predictions... either way, liking the find)

New Order - World In Motion (Subbuteo Mix) - not one of their i tend to post up much (for obvious reasons) but that particular mix managed to escape me despite me being at the peak of my vinyl-acquiring career around that time... or perhaps a year or two shy of. either way, is a belter of a mix of a debatable NO tune... i will say that mr barnes' *ahem* rapping is shown off to best effect i've yet heard though :D

AFX - Windowlicker (Acid Edit) - another one i avoid posting purely cos it's massively overposted, however, the 26 mixes for cash version is another matter entirely - one which, once again, my shuffle button has reminded me of... sometimes i <3 my shuffle button for it tells me things i already know but forgot i knew i know)

Santana - Zulu - an example of that which i just did dun mention.

Meh. 90s depressing dirge happens to be one of my alltime fave dirgestyles. Just so happens not tonight is all. Any post that includes a linky to the full Bends album gets massive bonus points each and every time though =D

Bjork - Hyperballad (LFO's Stomp Mix) - bjork + lfo... i nearly feinted twas but the drugs that prevented such calamity i swear 8o

Aesop Rock (feat. Dose One) - Odessa - another relatively random shuffle button find, bonus points for appleseed reference <3

New Order - Cries And Whispers (live @ Scamps Blackpool 05.09.1980) - sound quality is kinda ouchy but historical value trumps - third concert as NO after Ian Curtis' passing apparently, surprising how much closer to NO they sound than they do to JD even then (albeit a fukkin mess :D)

More listenable studio version of the above <3
