No i definitley dont remember the Astoria playing breakbeat music lol, it wasnt even invented then sorry folks...

The original night with a similar name at the back end of 1988 on Fridays at the Astoria was called Oranges Dont Dance.

The Saturday night was The Trip, and then it changed to Made On Earth by the end of 1988.

In 1992 you would of more of likely found me in the DJ Nicky Holloways (DJ and Promoter of The Trip) club the Milk bar which was just literally a stones throw away, Legends in Mayfair, Turnmills, but ones things for certain i have never embraced music that sounds like that noise being played on that video thats for sure!

Rage at Heaven on Thursdays ended up going in that same direction around 1990, thank fuck it closed!

When drum n bass first arrived, i quite liked LTJ Bukem for his mellow jazzy musical offerings but if there not musically minded and making a racket then they can fuck off out of my earspace. Sorry, thats always been my attitude.

I was just unluckly to be born in the wrong era.was 10 years too late for the late 80's acid house scene but heard the storys years later from a geezer called Wayne Anthony who ran an organisation at the time called Genesis.

Dj pierre - dream girl

back to the 88 style ibiza tunage

Right before my eyes - Patti Day (house vocal)

M Gira - Lena (live)

Lena was an elderly Persian Jewish lady who took me into her home when I was a runaway homeless hippie kid in Israel. I was working in the Timna copper mines near Eilat at the time, and sleeping on the beach. One day I was thinking back on that time, and I realized that through her act of generosity and kindness, she saved my life, so I wrote a tribute to her.
<3

M Gira - Purple Creek

No screaming or shouting: I promise these are pretty songs. Like Leonard Cohen if he weren't so fond of cheesy synths these days.

Well, I like 'em anyway.

To be blatantly honest id be more inclined to call Patti Days track not an Ibizan Anthem, but a typcially british raver, Centreforce FM, ICF, football hooligan, drug dealing anthem, but we wont split hairs over that... :\

I am alright Thanks Mr Acieed and yerself? very tired am gonna bathe and sleep very soon. dee dee I think I was going from the date of the release of You used to salsa - ralph rosario tune (1991) when referring to those club nights..I really don't remember it being like that though...the Spiral tribes were of course far more chaotic and harder...hmm used to love turnmills...what was the club called near Battersea Dogs home circa 1991-1994ish time been trying to remember for ages.

Think I may have posted this yesterday oh welll..

CELEDA - Music Is The Answer (Dancin' And Prancin') (Danny Tenaglia's Tourism Mix) [HQ]

Lol your not splitting hairs i kinda twigged it after i posted it that i prob wasnt correct. As i wasnt from that era i tend to lump em all into a simular catagory which may be criminal in certain circles! sry for the faux pas B-)

Edit - Doing grand inflo cheers gud to talk to ya.
