Same here. I constantly change what I'm listening to. I get really into things for short periods of time then hear something new & move on. ;) Though I go back to favorites as does everyone.

Nostalgia; Indeed! I got thrown out of my one & only MSI show. 😆 How the fuck do you throw someone out of a show where the bands name is 'Mindless Self Indulgence'? For fucks sake it's right in the name! 😁

I was being quite self indulgent in my substance consumption but I don't see what the problem was. What I didn't understand was the # of real young people. IIRC I was like 21 but there where what appeared to be like 12 year olds. It was absurd. 8(

I really don't see MSI as a children friendly band but I digress. The whole getting thrown out thing was absurd to. How do you throw someone out for being "to drunk" & then escort them to there car & force them to drive off the premises! :\

That turned into a long night but back on topic. Here's some examples of that band. The first one is the closest looking to when I saw em. The pink period. Trrible video quality; old. It was a long time ago when I saw em though. I'm a fan of his other projects like Euringer. Nostalgia as you said though. Anyway here's some vids.

The last one is a show at the same place I got thrown out of approximately 10 years prior; the Marquee Theatre in Tempe, AZ. Memories... 😂

Sorry, I wrote that almost 3 years ago when I was on drugs. Thanks for reminding me to delete it! I'm really not an expert on metal. Lately I've been listening to a lot of Lana Del Rey. I'm also rediscovering my old Prince collection. Before that I was on a Woody Guthrie/Bob Dylan kick. My musical tastes are really all over the place. I'll literally listen to NWA and Mozart back-to-back sometimes!

My reference to G'n'R evolving was more about "Use Your Illusion". "The Spaghetti Incident" was more of an experiment. Duff McKagan said in a 1993 interview that it was their attempt to bring some recognition (and hopefully songwriting royalties) to the obscure bands that had inspired them. Unfortunately it was done at a time when the band was falling apart both professionally and personally.
