Welcome What are you listening to today? v. verum invenire

Masterpiece

The Big Push, AnnenMayKantereit and mc REN. Collebaretion s, musically multi talented.
For the time i think AnnemayKantereit is a other guy.

And the skills. I interupted it and put it back on. To get confronted by 'Holy fuck this is intense' too.
Coincidental or not it reminded at that point of 'This is America'.

The clip, as his poetics are outstanding and style totally different.
Like the music but the video adds too. Childish Gambino clip/ track did that also.

But REN is a gem. So i listened again from begin to the end. ➰

I completely agree. Childish Gambino is probably one of the most talented people to come around this generation. I'm not talking about the music, but the acting, writing, producing, directing. He does everything. I just discovered yesterday that Ren can really sing and play guitar/piano(?) really well. His lyrics are always hard hitting. The song I posted is also the 3rd version. There's 1 and 2 to listen to as well. Money game is 5 years old, part 2 is 4 years old, then part 3 came out a year ago. I'm really surprised it hasn't gotten bigger.
He also has a song called money ties. This one, listen to the verse about his little sister. It's very touching.

Have you seen there are some hints to Childish Gambino s clip,
Also very good text, the mobile phone remark "that s a tool not a telly" and symbolisme.
Perfect performance XXL.

But still REN hits harder, is also more raw unpredictable, very personal.
And its unpolished. Which adds a layer extra to his poetic rhymes.
But it seems as references, compliments to this song which was 5 years earlier.
Or coincedence. Both handle heavy theme s that they certainly share.

"If we would be living as we should, then less of us would be in pain" Damian jr. Gong Marley

This is REN though, he does also primo covers
