Not gotten around to watching the film Ill Manors yet but is on me ToWatch list. Loved that Harry Brown one he did with Michael Caine though. Like Death Wish only good ;)

Occasional Mrs Shambles ain't generally into Plan B but is very fond of one of the tracks off the soundtrack. I generally loathe Chase & Status with a passion but this one ain't too bad - didn't get on at all with the other tracks they did with him. Even Mr B couldn't save them from being fukkin dire :\

But as far as Ill Manors goes... the album as a whole didn't grab me immediately but is growing on me. The title track is a fukkin beast of a tune though. And the vid is quality too <3

He's certainly a talented fucker. Have been a bit of a fanboy since I first saw him playing the acoustic version of Sick 2 Def (not that one but is a good 'un anyway) all by himself on a battered acoustic guitar on some late night C4 music show years ago. Coupla years later the kiddiez round here finally realised it wasn't just wank cos he's but lowly non-criminal observer with a geetar (cos by then he had an album out and they heard it on MTV 8) and suddenly I was getting "ree-speck" from da yoof for having dished out copies of his original mixtape quite some considerable time before that. Is funny how it often takes a mainstream TV appearance or two for folk to see what's right under their nose really.

That aside, am currently listening to...

As for the Metallica above, meh. Fukkin hate Metallica with a passion. Most overrated gee-tar band in the history of overrated gee-tar bands. Purely for those that wouldn't now a decent gee-tar tune if said gee-tar was rammed firmly up their anus diagonally sans lube ;)

*awaits the inevitible abuse from preteen wank rock band fans of all ages*

Just cos it's making me giggle muchly trying to find summat Metallica related I actually like...

Kill the Wabbit (Metallica Version)

Is actually fuck all to do with Metallica other than the title but kinda sums up my feelings towards such a shitty excuse for gee-tar tunes ;)

^ Hahahaha my EXACT thought of Metallica! Summed up perfectly =D (shambles' post that is)

Never was a fan, had to listen to mates trying to play their tunes all the time too (was in many a (shite) band in me teen years) I think that might also contribute to my hatred, but I general I just cannot stand the fretboard wanking and talentless redneckesque vocals

You could but would have to have some basic knowledge of whence you speak to be taken seriously in your criticisms ;)

Personally I'm about a 50/50 split between "thizzed out electronica" (=D) and decent gee-tar tunes. With the emphasis on decent ;)

Metallica are pure wank and always have been. Fukkin talentless whiney fretwanking cunts the lot of 'em. Pure shite from beginning to end. Can't argue with the fact that they are skilled from a technical standpoint but have all the soul of a dried out dog turd. And that's being over generous :p

(don't take it personally - the tunes thread is here for both adoration and abuse of any and all tunes linkied)

Not quite of the same gee-tar stylee but with equally cheesy riffs and (thankfully) limited fretwankery involved and what there is is of the respectable stylee. Plus actual originality and talent and stuff...

Decent quality sound and vid wise and a performance that shows what gee-tars were made for <3
