That n The Criminal justice bill & we were one angry generation at that time

Ayone else know JACK & DK from D.I/Y they through some of the best parties in the west . Origianally from NOTTs nut came down yonder cos we got them big FIelds for dem Raves

in 1994/1995 a dj i was pals with used to dj for the pirate rave radio stations. he had to ban me from the studio/concrete shed cos of the messing and getting him mashed when he was working lol

Gah it's bugging the shit out of me now - what's the mix of narcotic influence which doesn't have that weird squawking lead line in it? It's more progressive house, by which I mean early 90s prog house not the now stuff. That's my favourite one, I don't like that lead noise.
 
@brimz i got a dvd of tapes rips of sasha at universe sasha at shellys stoke on trent every mix from him 1989 - 1993 dozens of them.
my fav mix is from sasha at wakefield first song is the remix of narcotic influece jancrow is after i
i have every hacienda universe uk and amnesia house mixs about 200 early 90's live tape rips

Don't understand why people always say this or are so hardcore vinyl. Fair fucks to those who do it vinyl only and all that but in all serious technology progresses and if you want to keep up then basically digital, the amount of stuff you can do is completely superior. Think it's people's misunderstanding/misinformed more than anything, you don't have to use any sort've syncing and can do it all by ear too. Doesn't mean you can't use something like Traktor Scratch either. But having the laptop/computer there and a bit of software to add in really is way forward. Can remix a song far better while mixing now and everything adds lot more unique options.

Alongside that anyone can now basically get everything you need to mix properly and well provided you dedicate time for less than £500, try doing that with vinyl. Fair enough it's also the reason a lot of shite music comes out these days but it's also far better. Unless you mean pussy by the fact that they aren't having to carry around a boot/van full of equipment and records. This is coming from someone who's good mate is strictly vinyl for mixing too.

Cos vinyl was the best 2 decks n a shit monitor even at the big raves like FAntazia . Someone will be able to put in to words why Vinyl DJs are the best please..
 
I completely appreciate vinyl and all that and know why people love it as I do myself, but the whole 'no computer'/vinyl only thing is just not true in my opinion. Those same vinyl djs can go digital and bring a load of new stuff to their mixes. Then I suppose at the same time its a matter of taste if you just want the raw vinyl sound but have you ever had a go at digital? If vinyl was 100% and anything else was for pussys then we wouldn't be seeing people switching. Keep in mind it doesn't entirely rule out the vinyl having a computer/digital if you choose, it just adds to it.
