Yeah its very different to the tunes he used to play, there's some massive atmospheres and great psychedlic feel to it, I haven't listened properly yet, just been listening with me son....he likes it...anything acid, acid house acid sounds, sometimes it gives him the crreeeps, sometimes he imagines alien sonar, radar and shit...

I would never have listened to this sort of thing 20 years ago.

A bit of festive tunage from the dim, distant and dark past

Trip - Snowball

It sounds familiar, the style, the sampling, the effects, it's all early 90's jungle...don't recognise the tune though...

sounding more recognisable now.

No, just lots of samples I recognise, great tune though...I can't think why the fuck I haven't heard it before, i probably have, and have forgotten it...there were lots of similar sounding tunes then.

anyway atm, SELECTAAAAAA!

I'm listening to your Colin Dale mix. Because I'm lazy.

Didn't Colin Dale used to knock around with Stan More?

John Bonham's kick drum being the most prestigious among the eighteen, of course, Mailmonkey. :D

Michael Gira - Let It Be You

Considering Michael was fifteen when he ended up in an Israeli jail and had to witness prison rapes every night for months before Interpol bust him out, despite the fact he used to regularly break his bones deliberately at Swans gigs, despite the fact he very nearly killed himself with methamphetamine and drink, Michael Gira has finally found happiness.

Well done Michael. Though I still don't agree with the 'Swans' reunion.

That one sticks in my mind a bit, probably just the title although it does represent a particular sound, where I was the drugs were changing from acid to MDA (hence the snowball thing) I love that messed up darkness, some people think raves are all about superficial PLUR. 4-5000 people in a grimey ware house at 4 in the morning all totally trollied on MDA and by that time totally immersed in twisted weirdity of it all. It was usually about that time, at the parties I went to that they turned the echo up on the mic and started chatting complete nonsense just to add to the ambience :D

Bit later but a great tune to twist your mind to, such catchy titles back then:-

Mega 2 (Side A) - F-Project 19
