Bless you sir, I have to say about your track someone commented on soundcloud about the build up to the break down being silly but I loved it! Really cool vocal manipulation, very precise, wish I had your skill man.

I've got a few tracks dotted around on my HD but after playing with electronic music I moved to making nonsensical weird garbage which made me smile :) Started playing in a band and the music production sort of petered out, might upload some stuff.

Currently going through your soundcloud history will let you know what I think if that's alright?

Agreed about Pretty Pet it's a right time and place sort of track.

I love this thread monstanoodle, your right I've picked up so much new stuff which is great, some days (like today) I just scroll back a few pages and play the links one by one looking for the next unheard of gem. Thank you everyone :)

Cheers muchly mate :)
And don't you worry - If you take it back up again you will easily gain your own sound and your own way of producing: I'm not saying you'll gain "my skill" because I'm not amazingly skillful at all =D And each person's skills are different - If you don't like a piece of music (by music I mean real music, not chart topping tossbags) then you likely just don't understand it or aspects of it, or you do and love it or just love certain aspects of it, like Pretty Pet and my take on it :)

Oh I think they were just friends being satirical or whatever saying it was silly ;)
I used to make Breakcore and Gabba and such so my music was all over the place (check out No one listens for an example) but now I just really appreciate the flow of a smooth beat and rhythm :) Though I've been thinking of combining aspects of the two together for a while.

Oh and please do! Go through it all and let me know what you think either on here or on SoundCloud :) I rarely get critics out of nowhere so it'd be a treat :D Hehe!

It sounds like you and I went down the reverse path of each other - I started off in bands but they never worked out (aside from a guitar duet with a good friend) so I went solo and took up electronic composition :) I've been at it for just over a decade now. I say - if you've the option - why not give both a short? Continue with your band work and maybe pick up on your production again? You never know, you may find yourself creating new things because of your sabbatical from it and from your focus on your band ;)

Good ol' Gang Star ;)

And that Leonard Cohen recording was proper interesting! :D

That's anothing thing Ben So Fury - Never limit yourself to a single genre. I always live by that rule :) Makes my musical life so much richer.

Pink Floyd - Another Brick In The Wall (Part 2), with Lyrics

gets my vote as the best 7" ever. That build up, and especially the introducton of the smooth as fuck deep heavy groove of the bass line, delivers Spine tingles from head to toe nearly EVERY TIME I hear it.. <3

Considering how much i like this i have no idea how ive avoided overplaying it and and "killing" its' value and enjoyment, but thankfully i have !! =D

I was about 9 years old when this came out, the teachers didn't much like us singing this in the playground haha

They say that failed musicians become music journalists. So what does a failed music journo do ? Type stuff here hoping someone will read it ? lol

They become "Senior Lecturer in Music Journalism" at some tatty northern college pretending to be a university.

Ha ha, i love it. <3 I might try that one. <3 All those fit young nubiles who also like music and probably drugs too.

"Kate, i am very sorry to inform you that your grade average is well below the target for this time of the year, and that and you haven't a hope of passing the year"

"But Sir, Isn't there anything i could possibly do to change your mind ?"

It hasnt taken me long to realise i may not be the most suitable candidate for such a role. :\

Though I love my Dub from Jamacia this is still a class dub tune

Finley Quaye - The Way Of the Explosive

To balance this out some REAL Jamacian dub by the Master Prince Jammy (also my #1 dub tune)

Prince Jammy - Step it Up

Thanks, don't know if you remember me but I am that freak that worships Forensics dubstep (dark matter series)

I love all music, though 99.9% of EADD think because I like Norwegian Black metal I am an idiot.
I was raised with 2 different musical tastes, half of my freinds were into brutal death metal & the other half were into reggae & serious jamacian dub, I took both types to my heart.

I may be white but real dub sepaks to me in a way no other music can.

Here you go monstanoodle, another farmaz dub selection right from my heart too.......

Jah Warrior "Soundbwoy"

Mad Professor & Jah Shaka - Ecological Dub

Though not dub the guy is still amazing, Augustus Pablo :)

Augustus Pablo - East of the River Nile

^ Oh yeah me and the little 'un (school closed again) are busting shapes to that one at 10am. Awesome thanks.

No problem :)

I love kids raised with good music, I got my fiance's kid into UK Jungle (1994 - 1997) & she is only 6
Nothing more great than too see a 6 year old Norwegian kid skanking round the lounge, doing her "Gun finger salute" to this............

Krome & Time - Ganja man (DJ Hype remix)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=u2AkAZ3Dw-I

She got her gun finger salute off my from doing too much Ritalin & playing DJ SY hardcore sets, now she thinks to dance to jungle you do some weird head nod with random gun fingers at the drop :)

Also a Norwegian kid's favourite tune & mine too...........

Origin Unknown - Valley Of The Shadows
