Honestly this woman has a belting great voice, and the blind (sadly now deceased) guitarist was phenominal. But what really shines through and elevates things even higher, is the sheer enjoyment they are both clearly feeling and showing while performing this cover.

Lucas was a weird guy on here, he was from a Muslim mother & born in a Syria refugee camp yet I learned more about Arkan & Europe's Far-right from him than I did from members of C18 / Combat18.

I dated a Serbian several times and after shooting me up one of the songs he played was this:



It also has raï-sounding music. It's actually better sounding than most European pop music.
 
Mark E. Smith told his drummer in an earlier take of this track "Hit it a bit 'arder!", and that has definitely paid off by the time they get to this take.

And then that Fuzzy base hits in so fierce, while the drummer is 'itting those drums about as hard as he can, and combined, the sound they create is like nothing I've ever heard before!

It's a brilliant track imho.
