But imho that track, and the entire album, is spoiled somewhat by a super tinny lightweight drum machine type of sound. I think it would be loads better if the drums were beefier and if they "Hit it a bit 'arder!" as Mark E Smith of The Fall was heard exclaiming to his band when trying to get the sound just right in one of the many takes of "Blindness"

See, I like the synthetic drum sound. Without it those songs would sound a little more generic.

Even when they had drummers, they made them play like machines.

 
It's all a matter of personal preference I suppose.

You might be right about the effects of a real drummer, 'hitting it a bit 'arder' but if I ever try the experiment on the AI thing, and if it turns out OK, I'll see if I can upload it.
