Yeah imagine having Lemmy as your personal tutor for a few weeks. You couldn't have asked for a more musically and people skilled person. Who would probably also have been pretty direct with Sid about needing to practice more etc. And he also understood the lifestyle.

Sid was probably too fucked on drugs to learn anything. Or maybe it really was just beyond him.

Didnt he get better as things went on though?

I should probz listen to some live stuff and hear if he really was as bad as people say. Or they could have been tricking us, and have sid miming, with a proper skilled bassist playing instead, just out of sight.

Who knows?

Aaaqargh I seem to have that weed way overthinking thing going on. I'll try to turn it down with some CBD sublingual drops/
 
three quarters way through this atm...for me a really fantastic performance, Pat Walden on lead guitar is just on fire, the way he interprets these tunes...super melodic, super ferocious, dreamy and alarming all at the same time. If you're a guitarist (or any musician) you'll definitely know...gotta remember this band hadn't even made an album yet and the songs were still in development, highlights? 90% of it. My ex was at this (the bitch...nah not at all, am just jealous).
