What are you listening to? Part XXX - Sexxxy tunes for sexxxy folks

In a fit of naive predictability, I am posting a brand new example I just found of the old music I was listening to over the Y2K period and over the years since. Mauro Picotto was one of the main touchpoints of the period as despite being far from the first techno DJ to become a fixture at the UK's most upfront club nights, his 6 hour all night solo selection at Gatecrashers Saturday night @ The Republic saw the arrival of the most digital of noise as mainstream music culture. When Gatecrasher returned to Birmingham for a second time in October 2001 - Mauro was on for 2 hours, the perfect filling between the slices of a PVD and Scott Bond sandwich. As a West Midlander who had been attending the complex since I was a child for various events, the National Exhibition Centre was the most epic example of normality and despite its perfection for such use, it was the last place I ever expected to see host a rave or club event so me being the sad act that I am, over - conceptualising such things I cannot overstress how unreal it was to see the NEC Arena complex get its first all night license for a 15,000 cap. Gatecrasher showcase on Good Friday 2001... UK dance music culture finally becoming a genuine National Exhibition...

Anyway, 6 months later and they were back - Entering the NEC Arena from the adjacent Forum at 4am, with the drums from Mauro's set thundering around the back of the grandstands really hit home the fact that heaven can be a place on earth.

Anyway, here is his 2017 set from Luminosity that, along with a pipe or 3, started me on this latest rant...

I know how boring I am parroting this shit over and over, its just way preferable than addressing anything actually going on in the world at the moment, being the erm end of times and all that...

For the ladeez. Nice back.

@Arnold I ended up getting eccied by myself ☹️🤣

Hope you enjoyed - don't forget all could be outta proportion for next day or two...

And, well Dub fucking Syndicate - that is all!

Actually no it isn't. Gotta be one of the very greatest dub combo's ever., Style Scott (rip) ran tings, always produced by Adrian Sherwood iirc. Awesome contributions from the likes of Bim Sherman, Doug Wimbish, Skip McDonald even Lee Perry . Was fortunate enough to see the classic line up live a few times, unforgettable doesn't come close.

Gonna blast a few tunes now while on a tidy up mission, nice big vape of Kush first though, it would be rude not to :)

EDIT now onto

and now...for some reason @Zopiclone bandit came to mind while just listening to this, so it's dedicated to you and I'm upgrading my 'ok birthday' wishes to wishing you an awesome belated instead
