What are you listening to? Part XXX - Sexxxy tunes for sexxxy folks

Lol and tbh are the only one's i know and used to think lol was lots of love

I'm going to stop using lol ,your right it is annoying
I thought that it was short for Lolita when I first got online, and found my first AOL or Yahoo chat rooms, way back in the very early noughties.

I was surprised that these internet chats immediately seemed so full of seemingly blatant pdfs (annoying acronym / euphemism used very deliberately) very openly and casually hinting at their interests.

Everyone was typing it, all the time!

If I remember right when it first came into use did anyone actually agree on what it stood for

'Rolling on the floor laughing my ass off'.

Because that's what we all do when we see a vaguely amusing comment online... 😃
🤣
Reminds me of some of the lazy words red top papers use to describe something
Like " Keir Starmer was ROCKED last night after a phone call with Trump"
I've never heard the term ROCKED used in an actual conversation ever

If you bought a red top today you could find the word multiple times ,especially in the sports section

I’d recently returned from Holland when I first saw people using “lol” in chat rooms. Honestly thought they were calling me a prick cos it reads somewhat similar to the Dutch word for cock.

Starts off extremely oldskool… but not in the good way. Gradually morphs into a genuinely kewl kinda groove… but you have to be willing to admit to a certain fondness for those fourth or fifth remixes on the CD single where they were stretching shit paper thin just to meet the quota…

Overall more good than bad though imo.

Paedophiles. It’s ok, this isn’t Facebook. You don’t have to censor anything here. Unless it’s your disdain for certain.. things.
