Shiver

This hippie biker band was peak rock n roll

The number of views is a joke

The singer screamed as good as Iggy Pop did on that legendary recording of "Open up and bleed" - but less emo and just savage

Imagine seeing them live back in the day

The bassline with that deep sound combined with vocal syncopations etc

And eventually they prolong the third note of the bassline over the barline, creating a less restrained and more driving feel

What a banger

This one recalls both "Smooth operator", the lounge side of classic rock (Fleetwood Mac comes to mind) and some of the more sophisticated italo disco bangers

Pretty nice this one especially the way he kind of rushes out of the chorus by prolonging it with two extra beats

I think this might be the best classic rock live album I've heard, and it's completely unedited or overdubbed too, fucking nuts when I think about it.

Blackmore was on fire that day

San Francisco's Shiver (mentioned above) is to me another contender for top live classic rock albums, although of course sloppier and more primitive. Do you have any more suggestions? What's your second best?

At fillmore east by the Allman Brothers Band maybe, they were pretty damn tight live too. A very different rock band in terms of genre though, they play mostly southern rock with very strong elements of country, blues and jazz even. They do share the tendency to break out in long spontaneous jam sessions like Deep Purple though, something which I love
