^ Ha! Are you of the same indie era as I am? Seemingly so!

Ministry - Lay Lady Lay

To break the twee hegemony. Like Dylan... in the movies. ;)

Indeed we are. Britpop coincided with my 6th/university years... A lot of chaff amongst the strands of wheat in those years.

American lo fi was where I really found a home though; dinosaur j, sebadoh, sparklehorse, grandaddy. Fractured druggy vulnerability being infinitely preferable to the vast majority of dicks who formed bands in the UK around then (northern uproar anyone?).

Enjoyed that ministry cover. Though what possessed them to cover Black Betty...?

Good call on Dave Navarro. I thought this was the chillis finest hour... Warped

OK, turning the clock way back.

The wonderful voice of Liz Fraser from the early 80's singing the much covered Song To The Siren

Raw emotion, makes me cry everytime. Voice of an angel. She was the voice behind Teardrop by Massive Attack btw.

Just try and ignore the occasional rotating bog brush =D
