Skunk Anansie? Takes me back to the mid 90s, The White Room, the smell of a new issue of Kerrang! (on those proper summer days they had back then), seemingly-massive yet realistically-trivial adolescent cares and soon-to-be-dashed optimism. Intentional?

I knew Louise Wener was probably an intolerable person, but couldn't rid myself of the crush... well, at least until my hormones settled down a bit. :\

Yeah, I had a crush on Ms. Wener back in the day too. Sleeper were actually the first band I ever saw live (back in '96). I can't even tolerate watching interviews with her now though. Such an arrogant shite. Same goes for Shirley Manson actually. Argh. :!

^ I used to write for a friend's fanzine and he got an interview with Shirley. He gave it to me and I bottled it.

It was for the best really. I think she had more than her fair share of nervous, androgynous teenagers queuing up to be socially awkward at her feet. :)

Still, Sleeper beats erm... Megadeth as a first gig. Though Mustaine is still firmly on my 'dickhead's dickhead' list.

All Autechre is good Autechre, I'd say. Sometimes a bit overly "experimental" perhaps but always interesting. Really liked that vid too :)

TG: Had a bit of an Anansie craving meself recently. Not listened to 'em for years but always did like them. And whilst on the subject of crushes, I do have a bit of a thing for baldybabes and she definitely counts as one of those =D

Skunk Anansie - All I Want (Mowgli Deadfish Remix) - All bloopy and gloopy and really nothing like the original in the slightest. I rather like it though :)

I never did like her in that way. But I tell you, every member of SA were fookin' awesome musicians. I was always in awe of them all really (and they were my second ever gig too btw ;)).

Now look what's happened. :|

Purely in defence of Axl, whom Shambles has slandered. I mean, he's not a nice man (Axl, not Shambles) but he's the consummate twat. Which I like.

Besides, any man who has the nerve to release this after so many years has some gall... ;)
