i could only distinguish a couple of the genres in the early 90s i tried a few pills and went to a few 'raves'. i hated happy hardcore (there was nothing hard about it, fuckin soft shite), but i liked proper hard trance. Trance soon become lightweight and over commercialised and poppy though. I was never a 'pill head' or a 'raver' but did a few and went to a few and had some good times back in the day. Id feel ridiculous turning up to one now, everyone else would be teenagers and id be 42.

MDB I've seen people at HOG raves (Techno event in B'ham) that are well over 40, I saw a old man around late 60's at least gurning his head off doing the most savage techno stomp I ever seen, come 6am his still going in the corner by himself

Brain Jones was always the one I liked the most out of that group, Should have kept away from Kenneth Anger imo & he still may be alive.

Gimme shelter was my USA song, driving down the roads that never seemed to end or on the beach in Cape Cod 5 mins away from the Kennedy's Summer home :)

im not sure whether people like that are embarrasing or to be admired. I guess if their own self belief makes the difference, as to whether they are seen as "cool" or "embarrassing" if you dont have enough of that you can become a laughing stock In some of My bad Experiences. Theres a jazz pub in Bristol and there was like a 90 year old gent in there, so dignified and proud and still loving his live jazz. Im probably not gonna be someone who grows old gracefully, assuming i do grow old.

Bun people that wanna laugh at you I say, for example that old guy I bet had been to some mad acid events back in the 60's & in my view the whole Kesey acid test scene gave birth to the rave scene we have now. I have NO plans to grow old gracefully, if I survive to be "old" I'll still be the same as I am now.
Why people think when you go past your early 30's etc you have to "retire" for a better word is beyond me.

Now this is shamefull, but us English have far more class than those lot. These lot should have given up years ago but us lot have it in our soul & can dance far better too :)

about what cheryl would see in just the one. Thats like having one malteser..its rude to mars really not to have a few.. but then im sure shes not thattt rude and i happen to know shes a good christian woman and still honours her infedel hubbs.. only right.
