Sorry to scare you girls and boys, but Lucifer has entered the room and he's having an influence on my choices.

For those interested (all none of you :) ) this was originally a Samhain song, and would have been on their last album 'Samhain Grim'. Then Glenn Danzig met Rick Rubin, changed the name of the band, lost his sense of irony and started believing his own bullshit. While still being great of course.

Danzig - Twist of Cain

Misfits / Samhain / Danzig - whatever. I love you Glenn, even though you're a bit of a twat. Or probably (in part) because of it. <3

Belive it or not but i actually knew what your username applied to immediatley.
I may come across as a Hip hop head which i mos def am but my musical tastes are very eclectic

I'm impressed you knew about Samhain but I always knew you were a proper music fan (i.e. not bothered about genres and all that crap).

My focus is often pretty narrow and I listen to a lot of either silly or depressing guitar-based music with blokes either moaning about women or shouting about stuff. I'm often surprised by how broad people's tastes are, and to me its a sign of an interesting and open-minded person.

I try to expand my tastes (and have done, bit-by-bit) but I was an indie-rock hipster (after being a goth) so it's my natural home. It can be a bit of a ghetto sometimes though.

Lucifer's still in the room though: Misfits - Bloodfeast

Another Samhain song, this time tacked on to the final Misfits album in order to flesh it out. Check my symmetry, yo. ;)

I love the Beastie Boys early stuff. They could rap but they also had the ability to create non lyrical melodies that were wonderful
And they are so evocotive of New York City <3

Transitions

So true , my fav Beastie album is Ill comunication .
The one with sabotage n Root down on it.
After they released it they toured the u.k n i saw Them at glastonbury , it was amazing they were using double Bass n all real guitars , n mixmaster Mike killed it%)

^ i've been trying to expand my tastes ever since i realised they were so narrow minded. acquired a dust junkys cd and 2 sage francis cds then the uk scene exploded and now i can't even keep up with all the awesome punk around, let alone make time for other music. however, i have to say that to me 'liking most music' or 'having really broad tastes' suggests not really actually liking music at all, there are exceptions, but most people who say this then listen to me jabber on about my tastes cannot comprehend how emotional it is for me, how music can have such a profound effect on someones psyche.

another one from my youth. not a great song but the sentiment, oh fuck yes. 'in an empty sterile room somehow i made a mess' is a good metaphor for my life.

alkaline trio- i lied my face off

I Lived with a old skool Punk rocker for 2/3 years he was born in 62 so i was pretty much educated in all punk rock he was ahuge Black Flag fan.
I haven't seen him in a while n i'm down as his next of kin as he has no family , i may ring him in a second.
You could probably talk for days with him about Punk he was most definatley their and lived it.
He's got Sid Viscous R.i.P scrawled up his arm in indian ink Badly:)

I find it hard expanding my music tastes just cos I'm ignorant about what's our there, and it can take me a while to "get" a new sort of music - try my best though and hope I'm not too narrow minded :)

Elecrtonic shit (gabba/breakcore/IDM for want of better term) is my main love now but I come from a rocky-gothy background and like all sorts of random things. Genres can fuck off, there tend to be just specific artists or songs I like :)

Lets 'ave some more garbage mashup, this time with the amazing gabba-dnb-breakcore-all round amazing mentalist Scheme Boy :D

Scheme Boy - Para VIP

Belle and Sebastain (Live at the Barrowlands)- The Boy with the Arab Strap

To make things worse I walked past this gig coming out after the game.
