I love Italo-disco, though it's matched only by 60s / 70s Japanese garage rock for comedy lyrics.

Speaking of which, The Mops - I'm Just A Mops

Try checking out some Sphinx or Doctor's Cat.

It's like halfway between Donna Summer and early Chicago house, but distinctly Italian.
