Got me Spandex rockin' kecks on now...

Pantera - Cemetery Gates - reminds me of misspent youth. Played at excessive volume through a shitey car stereo (probably a (likely stolen) Golf GTi) driving down ubersteep Cotswold hills at full throttle with no headlights and totally cunted all around. Including the driver, naturally. Taking huge whiffs of poppers whilst cunted on speed (bearing in mind said speed was usually "proper" liquid base and/or meth around this time cos I knew one of the country's main phet chemists at the time) and bombing it down hills which were more like cliffs. Was a rush. Or two. Gotta <3 the moronic hedonism and fuck-it-all attitude of yoof <3

Cleetz: You a fan of Patton's other bands/projects by any chance?

More along the lines of Faith No More fan admittedly, but I am aware of his other stuff like Mr Bungle.

I even share the same birthday as him, which makes me infinitely cooler than all yall :D

Check out his multiplicity of other projects, Cleetz. Seriously. Mr Bungle are the shit - kinda cover all bases - but are but a fraction of his output. Literally every genre you can think of he has done and done well. Fuck, even his cover of Britney Spears is quality. Not to mention his cover of Super Mario Bros. Fantomas are pure class - especially if you like film soundtracks, Peeping Tom are genius for both the tunes and the folks they collaborate with, Tomahawk are brilliant if ya like a lil tribal headfuck with squealychuggy geetars, Lovage cannot be beaten for pure triphop filth... the list goes on... Mike Patton <3

Random example of genius: Dillenger Escape Plan (feat Mike Patton) - Come to Daddy - nobody can cover Dicky D... but maybe just one or two can. Properly. The rest of the EP is pure class too <3

But am currently lugging - Sepultura - Roots, Bloody Roots <3

Fun fact: The previous is one of the first geetar riffs I ever learnt. Sounds blinding even if you can barely play <3

PS: Older version of Roots which is also pleasing me <3

Thanks Shams, I've err...discovered a multitude of his works ranging from Lovage, Hemophiliac, Fantomas, Peeping Tom etc.

It's coming my way just now, if you know what I mean ;)

^^ Enjoy, Cleetz =D

Hemophiliac is... not exactly mainstream and kinda an acquired taste, to be honest. Nowhere near as extreme as his solo albums (8o8(8o) but... jazzy... perhaps. And also great. Peeping Tom and Lovage are probably the most accessible by a long way. I've yet to find anyone who can argue with Lovage and Peeping Tom are hard to argue with either, I'd say. The album he did with the X-Ecutioners is genius if ya like oldskool hip-hop of the turntablist kind too.

General Patton vs The X-Ecutioners - LOL (Loser On Line <3

Lovage - Book of the Month <3

Peeping Tom (feat Jel & Nos Dam) - Neighborhood Spaceman <3

Fantomas - Mr Bungle/Slayer Medley <3

Mike Patton & Serj Tankian - Bird's Body of Lies <3

I could go on ;)

Kate: Please excuse my slack PM response, Kate. Only just returned to BLand and got a 100% full Inbox but will surely clear space and reply to your (somewhat saddening... and somewhat gladdening) PM as soon as <3

The Libertines - The Man Who Would Be King

Another secret for ya
I've been told if you want to make it in this game
You got to have the luck
You got to have the look

To make what I quite like to make it through the night
My heart beats slow fast, I dont feel right
With a sleight of hand I might die
What about you over there?
Don't you think I care?
Well I know you know I know you know I know
And to the man who would be king
I would say only one thing
And to the man who would be king
I will say only one thing
la la la-la-la-laa la la la-la-la-laa

I lived my dreams today
And I have lived it yesterday

And I'll have lived it tomorrow
No don't look at me that way
Well I heed the words you say...
But my heart has gone astray
I watched friendship slip away
But it wasn't s'posed to be that way
I lived my dreams today I lived it yesterday
And I'll be living yours tomorrow
Anything else to say?
I lived my dream today I lived it yesterday
And I'll be living yours tomorrow
So don't look at me that way!
What's about you man, Nancy my dear
What's about you man, Nancy my dear
What's about you man, Nancy my dear

What will you do when she comes here?
Oh she'll kill me
Oh, I don't wanna kill me
And to the man who would be king
I would say only one thing
And to the man who would be king
I would say only one thing
la la la-la-la-laa la la la-la-la-laa
Perish the day when they heed what you say
They'll take you away if they don't like what you say
They don't like what you say, it's my wife and it's my life

So come what may but I'll never stay

I'll never stay

<3

Also... Velvets - Heroin "It's my wife and it's my life" <3

Also... Lou Reed - Heroin (live) - one of the best versions... shame about the sound quality... but bonus points for rarity.... "Will be the death of me" <3

Also... Joy Division - Sister Ray (live) - had the uberlush, double vinyl, stupidly high quality product that had zero chance of making a profit album once. Was good... "I'm searching for my mainline, I couldn't hit it sideways... You should hear our version of Louis, Louis..."| <3
