Not saying I didn't drink it in my late teens xD
Those 7.5% cider bottles for like £3 (was it even less?) for 2 or 3 litres ARE cheap and effective. But they're the definition of gut rot, more so than the cheapest liquors :sick:
Last time I has them I think it was frosty jacks but it was like 20% black and I was still gagging through the first litre or so (until the effects start to hit).
It may be just while I'm alcohol dependant as you feel sick ALL the time you aren't drunk, so anything that additionally makes you nauseated can be extreme [I once drank cheap wine while in wd and projectile vommed 6 feet across the room) but I don't think I'll ever be able to drink the ciders with sulphites/sulphates again.

I hate almost all beer, but I found a (German, I think) one I like that's 8.1% and like £5.50 for 4 cans in most corner shops, though.

OHHH that might have been what it was! (it's been 5 years since I used to drink it and I was on 12-16 cans a day which is like 50-60 units) so...I don't remember so well haha. It definitely began with a K, though.

OH IT WAS! 'Cause like I mentioned - corner shop [although it wasn't actually on a corner] - and since I always had a drunken slur, I had to make sure I pronounced it *very* carefully as I was worried the dude would think I was calling him an ethnic slur if I didn't enunciate the first part.

Heheh, I know what you mean. My daughter's bf went to the corner shop and I asked him to get me some Karpackie. He'd never heard of it and didn't know what it looked like so he just marched up to the counter and said "have you got any of that packie beer?" Luckily the guy serving was a Sikh and didn't bat an eyelid.

I’ve gone full ponce these days and drink only high abv craft ales, or stick to red stripe pint cans. Mainly coz I can get them before tax. Got myself a Costco trade account with very little paperwork 😂

Fags and tobacco are much cheaper too.
