What Are You Drinking? v. The Milk Of Human Kindness

Finishing off the last of my flat coke with some honey JD. Really getting the most out of the 20p that coke cost me, it must have been sitting in my room for 3 weeks now.

Lurvely.

If you put enough booze in and pretend it's meant to be flat it doesn't taste too bad.

You are of course completely right, considering I mix my drinks about half spirit to mixer as well.

I only managed one glass of JD+coke anyway, moved straight onto straight JD after that. Good thing my alcohol tolerance is so...

Nah I feel quite drunk. Makes a change.

how bad is drinking straight vodka?

its the only way i do it and it feels okay. Just got to know ur limits 'cause yea.

my friends grand-parents' drink it straight, but he is Russian and in the winter he will cover his chest with snow

low alcohol tolerance is good, alcohol sucks!!

As long as you eat well and drink water now and then, it's not that bad.

It's people like me, who enjoy whiskey on an empty stomach, that end up with problems.

Why would drinking straight vodka be worse than drinking it with a mixer? Other than the fact that it tastes vile.

I'd love low alcohol tolerance again, I remember the days when a small glass of wine got my nicely tipsy. Now I barely feel anything off a bottle unless I chug it.

And of course, that isn't classy ;)

less corrosive if it's diluted with a mixer.

But then again, i have had no issues from st8 vodka.

tbh i wanna drink more vodka :)

yeah i agree. also there's like a myth you drink and filter it with bread makes it 'better'

Soon be drinkin me a Carlsberg Masterbrew 10,5%

And only that one, I thinked I deserved a beer (im stoppin drinkin, going OK, but hard), so why not take a strong one eh? ;)

Taylor's Select Reserve Port (half price at Co-Op currently) wiv bitter lemon. Yes it is an old ladies drink. They just happen to like nice-tasting drinks sometimes is all :p

I tried a non-alcoholic beer tonight, it wasn't too bad, aside from the fact it was becks. :p

Non-alcoholic is one thing, Becks is a fukken dealbreaker :|

Don't really get non-alcoholic lager. No when it's shit lager in the first place. Why make a shitey thing shiter? A low-alcohol beer I can understand if it's a beer worth drinking. Tingles with no mess. It's the price that puts me off mostly. I'd probably give 'em more of a chance if they weren't at least as expensive as the full-strength versions and often even costlier. Bizarre marketing strategy :?

Yeah, non-alcoholic beers don't seem to be big in this country, so that's probably why. I would have gone for anything other than Becks Blue, but it was all they had in the bar.

We're not known for fondness of not-being-pissed here in Blighty for sure. Does seem to be a glut of no/low-alcohol beers around recently though. They're all brands that are shite anyway though (as far as I've seen anyway) so yet to take the plunge. Get some proper-tasting beer with lower alcohol content and perhaps.
