Are you on any medications, Snollz? Sometimes it can affect drinking n hangovers. When I was on 8-12 mg subs I'd been neaseois the next day after a few glasses of wine. Citalopram has that effect on me too.

Also it may not be that you're a light drinker may be watch ye drinking. Lager may not be your drink anymore - you've been drink gin haven't you!? I personally can't drink lager or cider. They bloat me out too much (that goes for most fizzy drinks though).

Or it could be your body's way of needing a break from it? <3

I'm not, for once in my life! Citalopram did fuck my booze tolerance right up though. Think you might be right, I used to love lager but I drink less now and yeah I've mostly been into gin since early this year, think the body could do with a break as well, I know I don't drink much now but the amount I've done over the years has to have caught up a bit by now.

Drinking codeine linctus anyway, just took a big ol' swig and realised it's sugar free. Disgusting as fuck. Going to be getting complaints when the missus gets back, she can't stand the taste of the CWEs that I've managed to get down to a shot glass of liquid so I'm guessing this, which tastes like codeine AND cough medicine, is gonna be a problem. Might have to drink it all :p

I'm much the same since I've come off my Citalopram. I hardly seem to drink alcohol at all now & when I do have no desire to get rat arsed. It's amazing how your attitude changes after a break from alcohol. Of course, that's not to say I won't start getting a taste for it again eventually.
 
Yep :D Though it might be hard to stick to that, definitely prefer the variety with sugar.

Booze just seems like too much effort I think, like ok I'm gonna get drunk but then I'm also gonna feel shit in the morning and the whole day will be a write-off and I'll be anxious and I'll end up spending twenty quid on weed to kill the hangover and 90% of the time I just decide not to drink at all. I also have no problem stopping when I've had enough now, which is a worryingly foreign concept certain people will still tease me for, even at this age. I love a couple gin-based drinks or whatever, bit of tequila, but rarely get past mildly tipsy these days and experience actual panic at the suggestion we go clubbing.

But yeah I say that now, shall see how life progresses! Fancy a cuppa now, need to buy some new teas, got some disturbingly ancient ones kicking round.

May I suggest acquiring some white tea... it's similar to green tea but has a nicer flavour I think.

That sugar free is rank. I used to love gettimg codeine linctus n drinking it all. The sugar ones were the best but who cares really as long as they do what they need to do. CWE taste rank but there aint that much of them.

I remember having n+ cwe once n the neighbours were doing their blastic music at night which annoys me but I was all chilled n ahhhhhh fuck it like um do it lol.

Chatty. White tea? Agghhhhh that stuff is minging..... I drink green tea apple n pear flavour, about 6 cuos a day. Used to drink a tra called slim line plus from Holland n Barrett but cannot be bothered with that now.....

Possibly my favorite beer of all time. 4 for £6 from Tesco, so not the cheapest drink going but well worth it.

That's not a bad idea that, haven't got any but did have some years ago that tasted faintly of raspberries but also cost like a tenner for 100g

I wish codeine chilled me out, I get that overall chill thing but get really irritated by small stuff. Sugar is definitely the way to go next time.

Taken to drinking water now, forgot we got some winter spice Ribena though, need to try that

Funny you should mention, am having a bottle of Bud now because I have uni all day and I forgot no one minds if you do that. Not in the English department, anyway. Work has ruined me this past year or so. Like ooooh I can't drink cos I'm too much of a fanny to do a twelve hour shift with a hangover.
 
Coke Zero....havent had booze for about 3 years but have been thinking about it recently, rekon I'd end up in a mess with it again though. Mrs A is on the Proseco, she has the truly unworldly ability to not drink the whole bottle, she has the same ability with drugs....she's either just showing off or showing me up :D
 
Cilatropram is proper shite fuck SSRI's I've been offered tonnes of drugs and I didn't take them. Seroquel is good. Drinking Aldi's Taurus cider, an excellent bottle of merlot and budweisers. Smoked around 2-3g of cannabis, feel fucking outstanding mates :)

I've tried numerous ADs and spoken to many others who have also. More than any other type of medication the effects vary widely from one person to another. All SSRIs make me really ill, Prozac had me projectile vomiting within an hour, Citilopram made me bed bound, delusional (no change there) and even more suicidal. I persisted with each AD for a few weeks and I think I tried 4 SSRIs before my doctor agreed they didnt like me.

My advice to anyone going down the AD route is to get a decent doctor and be prepared to keep trying different medications giving each time to show its worth. I was still drinking when I started on ADs, be aware that in general alcohol will reduce their effectiveness....this isnt why I stopped drinking though
 
I was offered all these SSRI's and never took them, then finally I realised I had BPD, and told the doctor. Was sent to a specialist, diagnosed BPD. Put on Seroquel, and now? I feel miles better mate. In every aspect of life things are getting better. And no I am not shilling for Seroquel lol :)
 
I get ya, I don't have any BPD type symptoms, formally I was diagnosed with acute depression and GAD, informally I'm a miserable fuker:D

I ended up on Venlafaxine (SNRI) for a long period of time, I did have side effects but it was a fair trade off at the time, I came off a while back which I;ll just say was an interesting experience. I've been on TCAs on and off since but I'm not on ADs at present.

BPD seems to benefit from a stable regime of medication from what people have told me, I'm glad it's working for you
 
I drank a whole 600mg codeine linctus last night no offect. (Had 3 diclazens in morning so none left) n half a bottle baileys dropped off sleep midnight

Round 2 tonight if more lictus arrives thought not sure how many ive ordered or if ones coming so it may just be baileys

Blackcurrant Lemsip. I'd actually drink it all the time if it wouldn't irreparably ruin my organs because it's tasty as fuck. Have made attempts to make DIY Lemsip before and honestly, don't.
