What pink stuff?

The wine is Norton Barrel, I think from Chile, 2009. I know virtually nothing about Chilean wine. Italian is typically my thing, chianti classico for regular fine occasions if I have the money and things like Barolo when it is really special. There is also sausage from meat drenched in Barolo wine, I can recommend that stuff.

More on alcohol: when I was younger I was pretty impressed by a mix my cousin called blackfly... it was blackberry (blackcurrant?) cassis vodka mixed with red bull. We had movie marathons with friends drinking that stuff. Always wanted to recreate it but never got round to it.

By the way specialty beers are also definitely for my taste, and Holland and Belgium are certainly the countries for it... I tried to make apple cider once back in high school, almost succeeded but unfortunately didn't at the end. I still have the equipment and some day soon I am gonna do a microbrew.

Hertog Jan is an absolutely awesome brewer by the way, holy shit. All the Heineken that is exported doesn't hold a fucking candle to that. I am just talking about their lager / pilsener now. But Hertog Jan also makes extra delicate and exquisite special beers.

What about you guys, any local miracles?

There are some nice local beers around these parts actually, Soli. Can't recall the name of any offhand though - usually "comedy" names though. Doubt they make it as far as England let alone the Continent though.

I dread to mention what the "pink stuff" is but seeing as I already did a while back.. tis strawberry & cream flavour squash. Ya. In hindsight it really doesn't seem wise does it

The only risk of drinking pink fruity squash is probably being called a poofter. If that's the only addiction to deal with I don't think we have a problem.

The mistake was adding said squash to gin and tonic. Thought it might taste nice cos I'm rather fond of the squash. Turned out tasting rancid. Think it's the artificial cream flavour fighting with the tonic twang. Just doesn't work at all.

I know I've still not mustered up a PM. Is not for the want of wanting but my memory makes goldfish look good and only get reminded I need to PM folk when I actually see 'em. Is a shitey trait of mine that makes me seem an antisocial nob. Which is true. But not that bad. I tend to go in fits and starts but have some stims in stock so may well be in start mode sooner rather than later :D

Thanks for the welcome, again. I seem to be more comfortable than ever on BL, so much so that I care to venture outside of PD much more, and quite frankly ADD was making Soli a dull boy despite the useful bits and scraps of learnings.

Want of wanting, I really like that turn of phrase but it seems to reverberate in my head as 'wank of wanking'. Either I am a closet dyslaxolotl or I haven't spanked the monkey quite enough. I guess being at your maternal house - even when the cat's away - is not very sexy although it should bring back sticky memories.

Actually goldfish get pretty bad credit regarding memory skills, although I still refuse to give them my security number. Must be the bad credit?...

I noticed you mentioned elsewhere that you just have a massive heap of PMs backlogged and I am not the type to take things personally.

Lastly, I do think that I should stay away from EADD threads full of people making each other's mouths water talking about drugs of the especially recreational kind. I have some oxy coming that I feel pretty guilty about but other than that I am generally doing quite good and PD does not make me itch. Well it does, but mostly for PDs which I don't feel the least bit bad or guilty about and I believe I can take them responsibly without difficulties.

I've decided not to go to sleep like a sensible person but fool my body into thinking that I am by going horizontal style. Zopiclone was still dropped so that's kicking in... wouldn't mind seeing leprechauns from the stuff but preferably not with a member of my family around. Oh, yes I know, I didn't accidentally came up with the word. But the "yesterday" seemed to imply that you had some short but possibly passionate history with the axolotl. What could happen in a few hours? You fall in love, do some gill-sucking, regenerate some limbs to see who is faster, that whole thing. Ah to be young and in axolotlove.

I have not literally dabbed the powder with elaborate degustation, that is silly. Although I did make that mistake a few days ago thinking I could chug a glass of zopiwater without letting it touch anything but my drain pipe. Due to a lack of capsules I just parachuted it in a piece of toilet paper now.
Problem is though (this is theory and speculation I guess) that the zopiclone still passes through the blood in your tongue and it probably blocks GPCR's that sense bitter, some people may have a mutation of that protein that prevents them (partially) from tasting bitter in foods. Which seems to be the genetic explanation for why some people like Broccoli and others don't.
Other possibility is that zopiclone causes dysgeusia, but I'd say that is less likely.

Yes good call milk would have been my guess as well for lingering things, it indicates lipophilicity of the chemical and the fatty micellar casein in milk can bind to it. Similar story with capsaicine, the stuff that makes food hot n spicy (and occasionally your bunghole).

As far as going off-topic go, at least you are true to the thread title.
And sorry for acting like I am narrating a boring thesis or documentary, I didn't mean anything by it. Maybe I do mean a lot by it, but at this point I start blaming the zopi....

Just to put you out of yer misery... the "XXX, yesterday" thing is - much as I hate to use the word - a bit of a meme. Comes from UK tabloids then got filtered through Viz magazine. Hard to convey the comedy value of it without the cultural references but basically every shitey tabloid story used to come with a stock photo of whatever the headline was about with the disclaimer ", yesterday". Probably doesn't translate that well but makes me smile everytime :D

Also, for the sake of HR, don't - really, really, really don't - drink milk within 24h or so of taking Z-drugs. The taste is unimaginably foul. Ideally you'd've discovered this for yerself and responded in suitably prepostered fashion. Butcha didn't so feel obliged to do the decent thing :D

I get my memes at 9gag but it's been like meme incest there for a while and I could do with something refreshing. That is pretty funny that they print "yesterday" although wouldn't it be horrible if something disastrous would happen to the person that was printed, the day of publication?

No snobbery here. I'm quite fond of that fine ground stuff. T'is better than the regular instant stuff at any rate. Quite recently (not sure if the offer still applies) but Sainbury's had a special on the Nescafe brand. T'was £2 a tin (usually £4 sommink or other). I quite like it.

Currently drinking my first alcoholic drink since last Friday. I've been cutting down a fair bit, but just fancied the one bottle.
