I do this for a living. My alcohol tolerance is ridiculous at this stage. Plus the police do noot work after 5pm in this country, I'm solid.
 
No. I could possibly, though I doubt it, kill myself as I am driving my smallest bike today.

The roads are empty here at this hour, except for drugged and drunken moto taxi and tuk-tuk drivers, plus even drunker rich people making their way home from KTV joints (brothels) in huge SUV's.

I wear amour, have not had a collision here in 70'000km and drive over the western blood alcohol limit just about every night. Also, it's damn close and damn slow.

the police down here don't seem to do a lot about drink driving either, doesn't mean it's right, there's a difference between having a couple of pints and thinking it's okay to risk it, and drinking from 9-5 beer and chasers then driving.

I agree with Brimz. But ain't here to lecture. Can imagine the roads can get pretty mental out there sober or otherwise. Don't agree with drink driving on principle though. Fella I know here does it all the time. Also just on a weeny moped thingy so unlikely to hurt anybody other than himself. Is his bizniz. But I still don't like it.
 
I certainly can't argue wiith the logic/common sense from any of you.

It's just that at this hour, here, there's nobody in a better state than me on the road and I am actually not drunk. I've ran this business for pushing three years and my routine has rarely varied, but I am still here. Were I to wait until morning I would have to drive in serious congestion with a headache.

So, bicycle speed, safety gear and a short spin home in the next 15 minutes it will be. This is not a first world country and that is why I love the place.

hmmmm, i'm working today,but i've got sunday and monday off, so, when i finish work today...

hopefully Ill be drinking rum still at this time tomorrow morning (with a pint of Ribena chaser) , so no, drinking gin is not bad.

Friday is only a state of mind for the working classes, dontcha know? Is just the day betwixt Thursday and Sunday for us dolecum. I think y'all have the better end of that deal by some considerable distance tbh.
 
Just had a litre of banana milk shake, having a pint of (strawberry) ribena now then I'm off down the pub for a couple of shandies, yes really, shandies.
