I've noticed that cider in different guises appears to be a popular choice among folk on here.
I am trying to learn to enjoy alcohol again after not really drinking apart from the very occasional can over the last 11-12 years.
Anyone got any particular recommendations that would be easy to drink & not too hard on the stomach?

Cider is great, not too good if you're prone to upset stomach or stomach acidity.

I've drunk booze after having teeth out. Don't see why it'd be a problem. Unless general anaesthetic was involved maybe. But surely only a local for having a tooth out? Probably best to give it a coupla hours though.

"Highland Supreme" generic, blended whisky and Old Jamaica ginger beer. Cider was completely sold out at Co-Op so had to look elsewhere. Thought I'd gotten a good deal finding a bottle of whisky ferra tenner until I got it home and realised it was only a 50cl bottle. What the fuck is it with spirits being sold in half litres at the moment? Fuckin' pisstake. They even shape the bottles so they look like full-size ones. Cunts

Isn't bad for blended, generic whisky though. The ginger beer helps immensely though, admittedly.

That's one of the new ones they've started selling at Co-Op here. Is an okay sup. There's a coupla other newbeers on sale in the "proper beer" section that are much better but buggered if I can remember what they're called. Need to get meself all the way down to t'other end of town cos the garage down there has way more selection and far better prices. Is all of 15mins walk each way though which is quite the shock to the system when used to ubersmalltown travels

Well a good red should always be around 58 to 62 F, UNLESS a Merlot which can get away with around 67 !!!

My preferred temperature to serve red wine at is whatever temperature it gets up to whilst sitting atop me radiator before opening it and whilst drinking it is. Works for me.
