The trick if possible is to spend the highest amount possible on a decent bottle(s) - this negates the worst of hangovers, cheap booze is just asking for it, and as an added bonus you get to enjoy some pretty good damn wine.

Otherwise its bucky or mad dog. Neither of which I'm acquainted with frankly. An wish not to be...

i'ma big Tea n Coffe guy . But only if its proper Coffee i have one cup a day i use a cafetiere with Lavazza Creme et Gusto or co ops own fair trade stuff which is excellent and £2.49 !! When i see folk buying their starbucks shite i feel sorry for them , what a waste of money for a nasty drink in a plastic cup , how to ruin coffee imo

So i have a cup of tea with twinning breakfast tea leafs with my meds.

Afternoon is Earl Grey time.

Horlicks b4 bed . Everyday , quality over quantity. When at friends places I have to turn down instant , i will drink a cup of tea though but usually just have water or a soft drink.

Im moved on to the harder stuff...Nespresso coffee.Got a present of a machine at xmas.Im having a layered expresso.First layer frothed milk then the espresso then another layer of frothed milk.Ill be chewing my gums off as I have gone for a strength 10 Indira.Cheers to cool cats Kate and Brimz !:D

just about to have another coffeee, had 8 today already, this habit's been creeping up on me since i got an espresso macine and milk frother for Christmas...terrible habit

An offy near me has started to stock Warka:

It's very much in the Tyskie / Zywiec Polish golden lager mould, and comes in at a respectable 5.7%. It's nothing remarkable at all, but I found it very drinkable and all at £5 for four tins. It might keep me off spirits and super strength during the week anyway.

Incidentally I found out from a Polish acquaintance why the Zywiec never runs out at my local shop; apparently (according to the guy I spoke to) Zywiec is regarded as a woman's drink in many parts of Poland. So there you go. That explains why good old Wojtek from number 32 has treated me like a pariah ever since he saw me at the counter t'other day then.
