Is Maribou Stork Nightmares the one with loads of rape in it? Some dude raping a sheep, a wee boy & a woman all in a row. Dude fucking dead bodies as well. Christ, I hope there is & I've not just made that up haha. I read it years ago, can't remember anything about it other than that. Gonna have to get a copy of it & re-read it.
 
Crackhead, that's one of the stories in Ecstasy. It doesn't actually happen in the story, it's in a story-within-the-story. One of the characters is a romance novelist, that scene is in a book she writes after she goes off the rails. But MSN does have some rape scenes, yeah.

Also i'll keep advocating this series until i die, fantastic books and by far best ones i've ever read, and i usually hate fantasy type stuff:

Bringing Down The House is good. I read that years ago, before there was ever a film about it. The film isn't particularly good.

I started reading those Game Of Thrones books (or whatever they're really called) but gave up part way through the second one. It was just starting to feel like a chore. Might have been worth it to power through but I really couldn't be arsed.

What about the guy who puts splints on corpses dicks so that when riga-mortis sets in they've got a boner & he can ride them? I think this happens in a hospital morgue. Is that from the same story in Ecstasy? I can't remember anything about Maribou then, definitely need to re-read it. I was about 12 when I read it & don't think I've read it again since, must be about the only Irvine Welsh book (older ones anyway) that I've not re-read.

Forgot about Acid House. Been ages since I read that one. Do recall the novella at the end being a good'un but it just sounds like I'm trying to hang with the kewl krowd now so will shut up about it :D

PTCH: The necrophilia one is in Ecstasy. Remember that being a particularly twisted collection but also been ages since I read it. Maribou is the one about the footy hooligan in a coma. Different kinda story compared to the other Irvine Welsh stuff I've read which is probably why it stands out in my memory.
